As it’s now December, the party season is officially here. With festive after-work plans looming its the same stress every year – what do you wear?

We all have days when we have an important meeting at work but an equally important party after hours. You don’t need to pack your entire wardrobe in your handbag to make the transition from AM to PM, but it is essential to have a few wardrobe staples that can be vamped up to party mode with minimal effort.

If you don’t live close enough to work to make a quick dash home here are some styling tips to take your look from AM to PM…

Festive Sparkle

Don’t be scared to rock some sequin around the office, it is the festive season after all. Whether it’s a sequin blazer or some sequin wide-leg pants, a little bit of sparkle goes a long way. You could style with a smart pussy-bow blouse during work then loosen the knot after five o clock.

If in doubt, a high heel will always dress up an outfit. Bring them along to work in your handbag and switch up before you sign off. This will need a little bit of outfit planning the night before. Just ensure you can walk (and more importantly, dance) in them.

Festive faux Fur

Faux fur is another must-have this festive season. It instantly upgrades your day-to-day workwear. If you don’t fancy wearing a full fur jacket you could always opt for a fur gilet allowing you to style it up further with a chic printed blouse or a sequin top.

Make a Statement

Dress up your work attire by adding statement accessories. Try adding a chunky necklace to a midi dress or a neck scarf to a crisp white shirt. This lets you play with what you already own. The statement doesn’t have to be limited just to your outfit. You could apply a classic red lip or do something different with your hair for extra style points.
