This year’s International Women’s Day campaign theme is drawn from a notion of collective individualism.

NatWest , Miss Menopause, and High Life North have joined forces to bring together like-minded people in the North East for an evening of talks to celebrate and empower women. We are creating an open environment to talk about real topics, including menopause, therapy, overcoming adversity, starting a business and following our dreams.

Together, we can make a change.

Nickie Kilkenny from Natwest talking about ‘Back her Business’
Miss Menopause talking about well, menopause
Our editor Laura with therapist Sian Barnard, talking about different types of therapy and the importance of finding the right therapist for you and your needs
Nicola Wood, founder of The Wonderful Wig Company on being diagnosed with breast cancer at 36 and her journey to provide the first purpose-built hair-loss studio for people in the North East.
Kari Owers, founder of O Communications, who will be telling us more about becoming the first North East ambassador for The Prince’s Trust’s national ‘Women Supporting Women’ initiative, the importance of raising aspirations and why girls need more role models in the media.
