Looking for the best recipes that you can try at home? Then look no further than our all-time favourite foodie accounts with recipes you can actually recreate.
We don’t know about you, but we love a good foodie Instagram account. However, whilst there are literally hundreds of thousands of accounts showing off beautifully presented dishes, they’re usually so complicated we never even try to recreate them ourselves. We’ll leave them alike, spend all of 7-seconds thinking ‘maybe I’ll try it at the weekend…’ and move on, and that 37-ingredient acai bowl will never cross our minds again.
Instead, we wanted to share some of our absolute favourite accounts that give us easy to make, delicious and achievable meals that even the most novice cook can try at home.
If you’re a fan of delicious and hearty homecooked meals, this is the Instagram account for you. All of her recipes are super easy to follow along and can be easily modified, like this straightforward Jersey Royal and Asparagus Galette that’s perfect for using up your spring greens.
With everything from classic baking to Asian inspired dishes, Spoon Fork Bacon is run by two food stylists, so if nothing else your Instagram is going to be filled with beautiful food. Their dishes are easy to make, though, and mean we can all have a go at making Instagrammable plates – you can even check out our tips on how to tablescape, so you can truly fulfil your influencer potential. We particularly like the look of their herb baked eggs for a twist on your usual breakfast.
If baking is much more your style, make sure you check out North East local Katie’s amazing creations. One half of Pet Lamb Patisserie, you can guarantee her brownies, cakes and cookies are going to be decadent and delicious. She lists each recipe on her blog and they’re always straight forward and easy to follow – perfect if you’re looking to change up your usual bakes. We’ll definitely be trying out her NYC Levain Bakery inspired cookie recipe this weekend!
Don’t let the fact that she’s American-based put you off – all of her recipes are easy to translate into the British equivalent. Known for her hearty and delicious dinners on a budget, she gives you a price breakdown of each meal and shows you that you don’t need to compromise on flavour in order to keep the costs low. These blackened shrimp tacos will be making their way onto our tables very soon.
For all your favourites from pizza to donuts, pasta to cookies, there’s a recipe for them here. They’ve even got an Instagram Story highlight dedicated to recipes made from leftovers so you can cut back on food waste. We fancy trying our hand at their donut recipe – we hear they’re surprisingly easy to make, and who doesn’t want donuts whenever you fancy them?
Sometimes all you want is a proper splurge meal – the kind you get when you eat at your favourite restaurant. Specialising in cooking meals that are rich and utterly delicious, Babish shares all his latest dishes on Instagram, with the recipes found on his YouTube channel. There’s everything from fresh gnocchi to margarita recipes to be found here, and it’s the ultimate dinner-time inspiration when you feel like treating yourself.
