Tour of the North: New openings this October
Our round-up of the hottest new openings in the North East this month.
Cheese lovers rejoice – a new independent cheese shop is in town, selling local, regional and continental cheeses as well as a selection of accompaniments.
This is an exciting addition to Jesmond Road, just across the road from another of our favs, Something Good – we think these shops will work really well together and are providing great independent shopping options to Newcastle.
Moz, the owner, has worked really hard to get the shop ready for opening and is going to be taking requests for cheese from customers.
252 Jesmond Road, Jesmond, NE2 1LD
Open Tuesday – Saturday: 10.00am – 5.00pm and Sunday: 12noon – 3.00pm.
The first and only cafe florist in the North East has opened on Heaton Road. Grab your coffee and get a flower fix at the same time at this eco-conscious and family-friendly new venue.
Dogs are welcome too so this really is somewhere that the whole family can enjoy!
Good coffee, tasty treats and beautiful plants – what more could we ask for? Book now for Christmas wreath making workshops.
63 Heaton Road, NE6 5HE

The coolest coffee shop to hit Sunderland in a long time, Coffeehaus has now opened with a soft launch, offering takeout coffee and delicious bakes.
Show your support and watch out for more to come – we can’t wait to be able to go and hang out there.

With mouth-watering breakfast, savoury and sweet menus, this is the place to go for some delicious comfort food.
Not only that, but they are a real small business champion in the North East.
