Created by Matt and Morgan, who are now based in Sheffield, Morcant began as a passion project rooted in a love of fashion. They really wanted to create sustainable, branded basics and after searching the marketplace at the time they found there to be limited options. They saw that nearly everything branded was not responsibly made. In making Morcant they wanted to reverse that and show that branded clothes shouldn’t cost the earth and sustainability wasn’t just a fad or a trend to be taken lightly.
Morcant’s emblem is also rooted in the sustainable lifestyle, their signature sea-wolf is a testament to adapting in times of struggle as throughout evolution when the sea-wolf was faced with competition for limited resource, it adopted a new way rather than struggle with the old. This reinvention and utilisation resonated with the Morcant team and stands as a symbol of their ethical nature.
Morcant also uses plastic-free packaging, focuses on the reduction of waste and maintains small stock levels to ensure that there is no ‘dead stock’.
