More skin, less makeup…

Glossier Perfecting Skin Tint – £20.00

This literally couldn’t be easier to apply in the morning to give you a wash of colour and even out skin tone. The ultra-thin formula gives a smooth and dewy finish without covering up freckles, caking in pores or requiring lots of blending.

The best way to apply this? With fingers in our opinion. We sweep it on after moisturiser, add some cream blush and we’re good to go.

Check out the reviews online which speak for themselves, and also say that this is a great option for mature skin.

The beauty secret we’re willing to share…

The Ordinary Serum Foundation – £5.70

Our Editor actually found out about this beauty secret back when we could actually see friends. After a long day at work they had all met up for dinner and one’s skin looked fresh and perfect. We couldn’t believe that it was actually this serum foundation from The Ordinary which had been applied at around 6.00 am with a toddler hanging off one leg.

It’s a STEAL at just £5.70, comes in a wide range of shades and lasts for ages as a little goes a long way.

Confidence, bottled…

Charlotte Tilbury Hollywood Flawless Filter – £34.00

A HLN fav, we actually have this in two shades and use one for base and one for shading – back in the days that we used to go out that is. These days one shade is enough to sweep over in the morning to get us colleague (or just postman) ready.

This product is designed to be used alone, underneath, mixed with or on top of your favourite foundation – so basically super versatile but for the purpose of this article, we’re more than happy with it on its own. It has Insta-filter properties which make skin look more glowing, moisturised, blurred and best of all, healthy.

The new hydrator on the block…

Urban Decay Stay Naked Tinted Glow Hydrator – £29.00

The latest product release from Urban Decay, this Tinted Glow Hydrator promises to give the long-wearing medium coverage of a foundation with all of the hydrating benefits of a tinted moisturiser.

Great for winter months, this delivers lasting hydration to skin and can be used as desired – either as a sheer tint or layered to a medium coverage if you need to cover imperfections (hello, PMS Zooms).

We’ve added to basket.

An oldie but a goodie…

Clarins Radiance-Plus Golden Glow Booster – £20.00

We love this option so we can apply the night before and bounce out of bed in the morning a glowing goddess. OK, we exaggerate on the bouncing front, but you get the picture.

These golden glow drops couldn’t be simpler. Just add three drops to your moisturiser before applying it at night, and you’ll wake up looking like you’ve spent the day before in St. Tropez.

Just remember to wash your hands after application or you’ll look like you’ve spent the day before making sandcastles out of mud.

Boujee but worth it…

Amanda Harrington Illuminating Bronzing Mist – £28.00

A firm staple in our Editor’s beauty cupboard, this Amanda Harrington Face Mist is more than just a facial tanner. It’s infused with anti-ageing collagen and Cq10 to firm, lift and give antioxidant protection as well as hyaluronic acid to maintain moisture levels.

The best thing though, it acts as a semi-permanent bronzer, reducing the need for any make-up during the day and contouring the face too. Laura’s top tip is to invest in the Face Buffer Brush too (it will last you forever) and apply most night’s before bed to colour.

For our pale girls out there, this is the best facial tanner we can recommend as it comes in a gorgeous Natural Rose shade which gives the perfect amount of colour if you aren’t used to tanning.
