4 of Newcastle’s newest openings you’re going to want to keep on your radar

THE CRESCENDO
What’s that? A new, three-tier rooftop bar big enough for 200 people is set to open right in the heart of Newcastle’s Quayside? Say no more fam…
The Crescendo is set to be a ‘hidden oasis’ in the city, nestled in a spot of previously-derelict land between Moot Hall, the Vermont Hotel and Livello.
With outdoor seating spread across each of its three levels, together with a bar area that takes in the stunning historic architecture that surrounds it, get ready for summer nights sipping cocktails at The Crescendo with some of the best views the city has to offer!
But, alas, summer it will be – the earliest opening date we’ve heard so far for this one is 21st June when all social distancing restrictions are set to be removed. See you then?

BUNK
Two girls. One bunker. A hella lot of takeaway food and bevs.
Aussie-inspired and Geordie made, BUNK is the Toon’s newest spot to scran. Nestled into Newcastle’s Melbourne Street, this independent food van is set to open NEXT WEEK!
Supporting local produce wherever possible, BUNK will be selling all manner of takeaway food from 8am–6pm everyday, including toasties and evening toastier drinks, (spoiler alert: their coffee is supplied by Fika).
Plus they’ll have a special ‘guest slot’ ever Thursday, where you’ll be able to find some of the best food suppliers in Newcastle – and beyond.

BELLWOODS LIFESTYLE STORE
One of our fave online lifestyle brands is opening a bricks-and-mortar store in Whitley Bay this spring and we couldn’t be more excited!
Bellwoods Lifestyle Store brings together a collection of items for you and your home, inspired by keeping things simple and focusing on craftsmanship, functionality, concept and beauty.
Independently owned by Nathalie who, in her own words, is ‘really passionate about supporting and shouting about independent designers’, Bellwoods is all about helping you find something truly unique and special, rather than the mass-produced items available on the high street.
While the shop will officially open on 12th April, you can still order from Bellwoods online and click-and-collect on Saturdays between 10am–11.30am.

GEISHA
Exquisite pan-Asian food in a modern Japanese garden-inspired restaurant and bar? Sounds like a bit of us, that.
Serving everything from breakfast to late-night dining, Geisha is set to be a right hotspot on Sandyford Road – we can just imagine summer cocktail vibes.
And although it can’t open its door just yet, Geisha will be offering online delivery service from TOMORROW!
Sushi and dim sum, anyone?
