La Chocolatrice

It’s no secret that team HLN is a huge fan of La Chocolatrice. Our editor Laura and La Chocolatrice founder Zoë both set up their businesses at the same time in November 2019 and have followed each other’s journey since the beginning.

Zoë lived in France for four years where she spent some time studying, and sampling, Patisserie and Chocolate. Chocolate is an important part of French culture and in most towns in France, there is a Chocolaterie or chocolate shop. The one she used to visit was magical and in La Chocolatrice, Zoë hopes to have captured a small part of that magic to share with us. This Easter, she has a gorgeous range including bunny bars and hand-painted Easter eggs.

Hannah Rose Chocolatier

Hannah is a talented chef with a serious passion for all things chocolate. She is currently working as a chef at the fantastic (and Michelin starred) Black Swan in Oldstead, by Tommy Banks. Luckily for us chocolate lovers, she put this immense talent into creating chocolate masterpieces during time out of work (ah, pandemic). Working as a chef for a top restaurant and also opening her own business, all at age 21, is pretty impressive. Her chocolates are selling out each time, and with only a limited number available, we really advise ordering ASAP! Each chocolate is handcrafted and filled by hand. Hannah uses only the best ingredients – fresh produce, local fruits and foraged herbs. These eggs are an Easter masterpiece and a definite HLN top choice. FYI – Eggs are collection only from North Yorkshire – York, Thirsk or Harrogate (and London) – drop Hannah a message if you are near these areas and want to see if Hannah has any flexibility.
