What we’re wearing to the beer garden
We’re ready.

By Iona May Todd
We made it! Can you believe it? Has the stress of, ‘I’ve bought so many clothes in lockdown but literally have nothing to wear,’ hit you yet? You bet it’s hit us. The question: ‘Are my joggers appropriate for socialising?’ is our main qualm right now.
But let’s all stay calm. This red alert of lockdown lifting requires comfort and colour – all done with that springtime swagger that will get heads turning your way in any beer garden.

80s chick
After a year in lockdown, you and the girls must be desperate to have some fun – and with this 80s-inspired look, you’ll definitely be bringing that Cyndi Lauper vibe to your local beer garden. Sweet dreams are made of this full-length denim jumpsuit that serves style whilst keeping you warm in any weather. Pair with a pair of sweet kitten heels to offer up a delicate sense of style. Lastly, try out these Robert Downey Jr-style tinted sunglasses and get your glam on time after time with this look full of endlessly-wearable wardrobe staples.

Trendsetter – even in this weather
Wondering what’s ‘in’ this spring? Wellies. Who knew?! And if you find your local beer garden is waterlogged in a week’s worth of British rain, that doesn’t have to put your style under strain!
Say bottom’s up with your friends as you build the foundation of this ‘fit with these Instagrammable, festival-style wellingtons from Ego Shoes. From there, try out these faux leather trousers that offer sleek chic without compromising comfort.
On top, add a simple white tucked top. And, if you find you’re on the chilly side, bedeck yourself with this check camel cape from Quiz – keeping stylish yet snuggly, whatever the weather.

Springtime Cowgirl
Why not take a mosey on down to the pub garden saloon in these high street, white Western boots from ASOS?
Cowgirl chic is the predicted trend for summer, so get in on it nice and early by styling your boots with this cute, ditsy dress from Zara. Accessorise with some tender, golden decals to each and every glimpse of the sun, and, if you’re feeling a little chilly, add a white, chunky knit to keep you warm until you ride off into the sunset, (in a taxi).

Colour Popper
For our final ‘fit, let’s try to minimise skin exposure while maximising style for our spring flings in our favourite pub gardens.
For this weather? Leather. Keep it stylish for spring with this green leather skirt from Sosander. By using these earthy colours in your outfit, you can use the style of the season to your advantage. Pair with these red, over-the-knee boots to add a colour pop that’s sure to make ‘em look.
Lastly, tie the whole outfit together with this French Connection, brown-collared jumper – making even Mother Nature jealous of your outfit this season.
