We dare you to look at the work of award-winning (and three-time official Tour de Yorkshire) artist Lucy Pittaway without smiling. Her colourful depictions, usually inspired by her home here in the North, contain a humour and humanity that’s infectious.

This exclusive afternoon at Grantley Hall will begin with tea, coffee and cake (always a winner in our book) and will include a presentation by Lucy herself as well as a chance to view and buy from her latest collection – all topped off with an exquisite two-course lunch and glass of wine.

Tickets start from £125 per person and all proceeds will go to Lucy’s charity of choice, Calm.–lucy-pittaway/51-41/

This October, Grantley Hall will be joined by celebrity florist, Sheryl Popplewell – who has worked with a wealth of A-List clients, as well as on film sets, TV shows, arena tours and at intimate celebrity parties.

You can enjoy an interactive flower arranging class with Sheryl and the team at Fulford Flowers, learning just how your favourite celebrities like their bouquets and creating your own luxury arrangement fit for an A-Lister, ready to give your home the red carpet treatment. Oh yeah, you’ll also enjoy a sumptuous two-course lunch, too. Because, why not?

Tickets start from £175 per person

Ever fancied transporting yourself back in time to bygone days of grandeur and elegance by visiting a magnificent country house, listening to opera recitals and enjoying fine dining, all in an evening worthy of its own Downton Abbey episode?

Well, now you can. British soprano Alexandra Lowe – who made her Royal Opera debut last October – is dropping by Grantley Hall to give a limited number of lucky guests an exclusive performance in this jaw-dropping venue. Plus, you’ll enjoy Champagne and canapes on arrival and a six-course Michelin-star tasting menu in Shaun Rankin’s restaurant.

Tickets start from £299 per person

Tuesday 2nd November, 2021

Talking of exclusive, Grantley Hall’s indulgent Moët & Chandon Grand Dinner will only be available to 20 guests – so you better grab your tickets, fast!

Served in their magnificent Music Room, anyone lucky enough to bag a spot can expect an exploration into the intricacies of these exquisite Champagnes which, unlike most others, are only made from the grapes of a single year – rendering each one entirely unique.

To enhance your pilgrimage of the palette, you’ll also enjoy a five-course menu, which has been specially created by Grantley Hall’s Executive Head Chef Simon Crannage, to perfectly complement the selection of Moët & Chandon Grand Vintage Champagnes you’ll be introduced to on your gastronomical adventure. Bon appétit.

Tickets start from £490 for two tickets

Tickets plus one night accommodation in a Deluxe Room start from £940 for two people–chandon-grand-vintage-dinner/51-40/

Friday 24th – Monday 27th December, 2021

There’s something magical about a big country mansion at Christmastime: decadent decorations, towering trees, twinkling fairy lights and roaring fires all make our hearts feel warm and fuzzy. And country mansions don’t come any more majestic than Grantley Hall. So why not upgrade your festive season and see in the holidays in style with a house party to remember?

You’ll start your celebrations on Christmas Eve with mulled wine and mince pies on arrival, followed by a pre-dinner Champagne and canapés before tucking into a delicious dinner in Fletchers or Restaurant EightyEight.

Christmas Day includes a sumptuous breakfast, a festive drinks reception, an exquisite lunch served in the Hall, a showing of the Queens Speech in the Drawing Room and a decadent evening buffet.

Then, kickstart your Boxing Day festivities with a guided walk to Fountains Abbey, followed by a delicious meal and resident’s cocktail party in Valeria’s Champagne & Cocktail Bar. Additional activities include hiring bikes to explore the Yorkshire Dales countryside and a wine tasting experience led by the hotel’s expert Sommelier.

Tickets start from £3,800 per room, based on two people sharing a Deluxe Room.

On weekends throughout December, the Grantley Suite and Japanese Garden will be transformed into the magical realm of Narnia – bringing to life the mystical creatures of C.S. Lewis’ much-loved children’s books.

But don’t be fooled into thinking this is just like the next family Christmas experience. Sure, younger guests will be able to enjoy the excitement that an adventure through Narnia (culminating in the discovery of Santa’s Grotto and nabbing a minute or two with the Big Man himself), will undoubtedly bring. But where else would grown-ups also be able to enjoy a sumptuous four-course menu and live entertainment, too?

Tickets are £85 per person for adults, £35 per child aged 2–12, £42.50 for children aged 13–15 (infants under the age of 2 are free of charge)
