Emily in Paris – steal the style of Emily, Mindy, Sylvie and Camille
Here’s how to steal the Parisian style that we adore.
Netflix’s Emily in Paris is back. Expect high-end outfits, plenty of clichés and, of course, the overall je ne sais quoi of the world’s fashion capital. Ooh, la la.
Brought to us by Sex in the City creator Darren Star, the hit series has an incredible cast, breath-taking backdrops and a tantalising tale to tell. But it also boasted more than its fair share of iconic fashion moments, too.
For those who haven’t watched it yet, the Netflix series follows Emily Cooper (played by Lily Collins), who accepts a once-in-a-lifetime position to transfer from Chicago to her marketing firm’s Paris location for 12 months. With some clichés along the way – and one heartbreak later – the fashion marketing pro tries to be at one with her French colleagues. So, she treats herself to a designer-filled wardrobe and soon falls head-over-heels with a dreamy new love interest, Gabriel. But there are a few complications along the way… (No spoilers!)
But as we sat and binge-watched this show in our comfy pants and messy buns during lockdown, we couldn’t help but notice Emily and her fashionista friends’ statement outfits.
And it’s hardly surprising, considering the show’s styling is courtesy of none other than the legendary Patricia Fields (the style mastermind behind Sex and the City and The Devil Wears Prada), who brings the crème de la crème of Parisian designers – including Christian Siriano, Chanel, Chloé and Kenzo – onto our screens once more.
Best of all, series two of the hit show launches on 22nd December! So, whether you want to stand out from the crowd with Emily’s bright, bold and risqué designer looks, or if her boss Sylvie’s timeless, minimalist collection of couture is more to your taste, we’ve got you covered with the best style steals from the show, (without the hefty price tag).
