Chillingham Road, Heaton, Newcastle NE6 5LJ 

Of course, we had to include NEST after taking Newcastle by storm and being fully booked until mid next year. Heaton’s new neighbourhood restaurant is born from a shared love of good food and wine serves us a tasting menu with optional matching wine flight making quality dining relaxed and accessible.

Geisha

Sandyford Road, Newcastle NE2 1QR

Exquisite pan-Asian food in a modern Japanese garden-inspired restaurant and bar? This is right up our street. Serving everything from breakfast to late-night dining, Geisha is a hotspot on Sandyford Road to get your taste buds tingling with Asian flavours. Sushi and dim sum, anyone?

Restaurant Pine

Vallum Farm, Military Road, East Wallhouses, Northumberland NE18 0LL

At its grand opening in May, Restaurant Pine has been transformed from an old cow barn into an intimate dining destination, from which you can admire the sloping Northumberland landscape along Hadrian’s Wall as you tuck into a generous tasting menu, which uses ingredients foraged from the local countryside or grown in their own kitchen garden.

Punto Italian Kitchen

A new Italian has arrived in Heaton. Khai Khai

Bringing a whole new dining concept, a unique smoke-and-fire cooking style, to Newcastle, this Indian restaurant is said to be the first in the UK to offer a retro Indian comfort food experience. Of course, we all love a bit of comfort food, but mix that with the Indian cuisine and what’s not to love?

Cafe Andaluz

Hola to Cafe Andaluz as Newcastle welcomes a new taste of Spain. On the former Italian restaurant Carluccio’s site, Newcastle’s latest tapas bar and restaurant has gone all-out with a Spanish makeover and is inviting us to soak up a sunshine holiday atmosphere and enjoy some Andalusian cuisine.

It’s the one that we’d all been waiting for… the £2 million luxurious rooftop bar and restaurant located on the roof of Vermont Hotel is now open. Your breath will be taken away as you take in the stunning 360-degree views of Newcastle city and our iconic Quayside with an espresso martini in your hand…
