Or perhaps that should be the wedding days of your dreams. Because at Brinkburn, a wedding isn’t necessarily just a one-day event. Oh, no. One of the individual offers that set this Northumberland venue apart from the crowd is that weddings at Brinkburn can be up to three days of celebrations. We told you this was no ordinary place to gather and get together.
With accommodation across six luxury holiday cottages set within an exquisite natural backdrop, you can make Brinkburn your home away from home as you enjoy one of the most important moments in your life, relieving yourself of any stress by having everything – and everyone – that you need around you.

THE WEDDING SPACES
A 12th century priory and manor house, an elegant tipi, a renovated stables block and six country cottages, all nestled within a looping river and enchanting woodland – Brinkburn is your own rustic paradise, perfectly designed for once-in-a-lifetime events.
‘In Northumberland, there’s a wedding venue for every style of couple,’ explains Emma Fenwick, Brinkburn Partner. ‘We’re a small, rural, outdoor wedding venue and I think our scale allows us a degree of flexibility not found in some of the larger venues. So, if you come to Brinkburn and love what you see, we work hard to make it work for you. We focus on the couple’s individuality; all our spaces, including the Tipi, are fully customisable and our wedding packages are tailored to match.’
Whatever space you choose, traditional architecture combines with contemporary finishes to provide only the most emotive and romantic of settings for you to celebrate a lifetime of love with all your family and friends.
The Priory
Brinkburn Priory was built in 1135 by monks, who found unrivalled solitude in this tranquil setting by the meandering River Coquet. For a religious church service, the Priory can accommodate up to 120 people for a wedding or blessing.
The White Room
The White Room provides space for up to 80 people for a civil wedding ceremony. It’s also possible to hold this outside on the terrace. Receptions can then either take place here too, if it’s a smaller, more intimate wedding (the White Room holds up to 50 people to dine), or in the Tipi for up to 120 seated guests.
The Tipi
Brinkburn’s immaculate Tipi allows up to 120 seated guests to dine. While you enjoy your wedding breakfast, your evening band or DJ will discreetly set up alongside the Brinkburn Northumberland team, who will transform the White Room into somewhere special for the party to really begin.
Once you’re ready, your guests can flow into the White Room and enjoy drinks on the terrace around the fire pit, while the bar in the Tipi comes alive. Music played in the White Room is piped through into the Tipi bar too, so you and your guests can enjoy a seamless evening of music, dancing and chilling out.
The Manor House
Located beside the Priory is the historic, original Manor House, which was built from part of the monastic remains. Celebrant and humanist gatherings can take place in the Manor House for up to 100 guests, or outside on the terrace at the front of the Stable Block.

Three-Day Weekend*
From March – October
120 day guests, 150 evening guests
Get exclusive use of the grounds and gardens at Brinkburn Northumberland for your long weekend wedding, with accommodation on site for up to 28 guests.
Overview:
- 3-night stay for up to 12 guests. Check in 4pm Friday, marry on Saturday, relax with family and friends on Sunday, checkout 10am Monday.
- The on-site Priory is the perfect venue for a Church of England ceremony, seating up to 120. Civil ceremonies may take place in the White Room or on the garden terrace (weather permitting) for up to 80 guests.
- After canapés and drinks in the space of your choice, the wedding party will move into the Tipi.
- In the evening, the White Room is transformed into a magical party space for you to dance the night away with your band or DJ, while the Tipi becomes your evening chill out area and bar.
Additional options:
- Additional accommodation for up to 16 extra guests.

Two Day Midweek*
From March – October

Get exclusive use of the grounds and gardens at Brinkburn Northumberland for your two-day wedding escape, with accommodation on site for up to 28 guests.
Overview:
- 2-night stay for up to 12 guests. Check in 4pm on Tuesday, marry on Wednesday, and checkout 12pm on Thursday.
- The on-site Priory is the perfect venue for your Church of England ceremony, seating up to 120. Civil ceremonies may take place in the White Room or on the garden terrace (weather permitting) for up to 80 guests.
- After canapés and celebratory drinks, you and your guests will move into the Tipi for your wedding breakfast.
- In the evening, the White Room is transformed into a magical party space for you to dance the night away with your band or DJ and the Tipi becomes your evening chill out area and bar.

Limited Edition Winter Weddings
From November – February
40 day guests, 40 evening guests
A truly special and intimate winter wedding designed for those who simply wish to create lasting memories with their nearest and dearest in a cosy, homely atmosphere.
Overview:
- Accommodation for 2 or 3 nights with sink-in beds, ensuites and roaring fires.
- Civil ceremony in the White Room – a blank canvas which is versatile and relaxed and can be styled to suit any look.
- Fizz and canapés to follow in the Snug within the Stables House, whilst the couple escape for some photography within the surrounding woodland.
- As you relax, the Brinkburn Team will seamlessly turn the White Room into a dining experience with a long, family table designed to make your guests feel at home.
- Once seated, you and your guests will enjoy a gastronomic day with locally sourced cuisine and fine wine.

- ‘Wedding Eve’ food and accommodation
- ‘Mini-moon’ in the Stables House

‘Each couple gets assigned to one of our amazing wedding coordinators, who offer a bespoke service through regular consultations right up to the couple’s wedding date,’ Emma explains. ‘The couple decides how much guidance they want, but by working closely with our coordinators to figure out logistics, they’re able to create a bespoke atmosphere for the big day and make magic a reality.
‘If our couples want even more guidance, our wedding coordinators also offer the best advice on how to decorate the venue, where to have the “confetti shot”, all those little details that can really transform your day into a fairytale. They have an answer for everything! And on the off-chance they don’t, they have a long list of suppliers who are sure to help, too.’
