Little Biscuits Creative Workshops

Where: Biscuit Factory, 16 Stoddart Street, Shieldfield, Newcastle upon Tyne NE2 1AN

When: 11-13th  & 19th-20th April 2022 (1-4pm)

With sessions led by professional art teachers and practising artists, Little Biscuits gives your little ones, aged 7-13, the chance to take part in their very own artist-led workshop. The workshop explores the theme of bugs and insects, pop art portraits and textile collage portraits.

Easter Celebrations at Beamish Museum

Where: Beamish Museum, Regional Resource Centre, Beamish DH9 0RG

When: 15th-18th April 2022

There’ll be cracking Easter-themed activities around Beamish Museum this April. Paint some Easter eggs, have a go at making an Easter animal puppet, see traditional Easter dishes being freshly made (including hot cross buns and jam tarts), make your own Easter wreath and bring out your competitive side in an egg and spoon race. Oh, don’t forget to keep your eyes peeled for the hidden golden egg in their egg hunt trail, too!

LEGO and Coding Workshop at Bowes Museum

Where: Bowes Museum, Newgate, Barnard Castle DL12 8NP

When: 13th – 14th April 2022

Price: £10 per family, booking essential

Make a moving vehicle and bring your LEGO® creation to life. Then enjoy finding some of the creations from the LEGO®: Building The Bowes Museum exhibition around the building.

Discovery Days 

Where: Discovery Museum, Blandford Square, Newcastle Upon Tyne

From a toy trail where your little ones follow the clues to find the toys hiding in the gallery to be in chase of winning a chocolate prize draw to Easter crafts for all the family and create an acrobatic bunny, decorate rabbits and eggs. Try a hatching chick papercraft, there’s lots of eggceptional North East fun to be had over half term here.

Easter at Ouseburn Farm

Where: Ouseburn Farm, Ouseburn Road, Newcastle upon Tyne, NE1 2PA 

Step into spring the right way with the chance to feed and pet lambs, see newborn chicks and explore their Egg Box Garden. Plus, Ouseburn Farm’s resident bunnies will be paying a visit to Seven Stories for stories and cuddles on Wednesday 13th April.

Maze Easter Egg Hunt Tynemouth Park 2022

Where: Tynemouth Park Discovery Museum, Blandford Square, Newcastle Upon Tyne

Hop along to this Easter egg hunt over April half term and help find where the Easter bunny has hidden all the eggs, with the help of some special guests. Here you can expect an Easter egg prize, a meet and greet with special characters and the Easter Bunny himself with plenty of photo opportunities, an activity bag and some delicious ice cream. Easter Trail at Cragside

Where: National Trust – Cragside Hall, Rothbury, Morpeth NE65 7PX

When: 9th – 24th April 2022  (10.30am – 3.30pm)

Price: £3 per child

Get ready, steady…hop! The kids can explore nature all around them on the Easter egg trail at Cragside, Northumberland, during the Easter holidays. Using a map as a guide, they can hunt for different activity stations as they journey around the lake. Build a bird’s nest, spin the wheel of nature, go bee spotting and create a weather forecast. Once all 10 activities are complete, the children can pick up their chocolate Easter egg. 10.30am and 3.30pm.
