When we’re wearing an outfit that we feel confident in, we all know how it can make us become a better version of ourselves.

And this is exactly what Smart Works Newcastle is all about – using fashion as a force for good.

Through the power of high-quality clothing, the female employment charity helps women see their true potential by giving advice on how to dress, preparing them for interviews and guiding them to job success.

We love nothing more than a success story here at HLN and we couldn’t think of anyone better host for Smart Works’ next exclusive event than their ambassador, Sara Davies MBE.

At the event, we’ll get a chance to dive into Sara’s wardrobe where she’ll talk us through some of the clothes that have been a crucial part of her journey to her success and how wearing those particular pieces influenced her confidence.

‘I am so thrilled to be supporting Smart Works Newcastle with their fantastic My Clothes & My Confidence event,’ says Dragon’s Den star Sara Davies. ‘Clothes can have such an impact on the way that we feel and the confidence that we exude and they have certainly played a huge part in my own life.

‘As a young girl looking to make it in the business world, I assumed that no-nonsense workwear was my ticket to be taken seriously, but I was wrong. I discovered a love for wonderfully colourful clothes and with it the confidence to be my true authentic self.

‘I can’t wait to spend an evening sharing the clothes that represent such significant times in my life and all of the stories behind them.’

Monday 17th October 2022 from 18:00 – 22:00
