NE1 Newcastle Restaurant Week returns next week giving us the perfect chance to explore new eateries at discounted prices – it would be rude not to, right?

NE1 Restaurant Week Newcastle is back from Monday 16th – 22nd January.

We’ve shortlisted our favourite menus we’ll be trying next week.

TWENTY TWENTY, NEWCASTLE

5 Bigg Market, NE1 1UN

Offer: £15 tasting platter

Although they are famous for their bottomless brunch, did you know that Twenty Twenty also serves some delicious food, too? Treat yourself to this tempting offer next week where you can enjoy a Combo Tasting Platter for only £15 featuring two giant pizza slices with a range of toppings to choose from, smothered nachos and a glass of fizz to wash things down.

New to Newcastle Restaurant Week this year, Chart House is set to spice things up with speciality spiced seafood dishes. From fried calamari for starters to lamb kofta on focaccia flatbread for the main event and warm honey and almond cake to sweeten things up, you can explore new spices and taste combinations that capture the spice route flavours of the old Mediterranean, Arabia and South China Seas.

THE HUSTLE, NEWCASTLE

Offering an inclusive, contemporary dining spot, this all-day disco lounge serves a New York-style tapas menu this Restaurant Week with dishes including mac and cheese bon bons, The Hustle Burger and katsu curry. Before finishing things off with warm New York pancakes served with vanilla cream, chocolate sauce and strawberries. Not forgetting The Hustle’s contemporary cocktail menu to work your way through, too.

Inspired by the 1930s, The Exchange is Newcastle’s finest speakeasy. An underground hideaway from the hustle and bustle of Northumberland Street, here you can tuck into everything from buttermilk chicken goujons for starters to loaded potato wedges with chilli beef tacos for your main and a salted caramel blondie cheesecake with ice cream to finish things off. We guarantee you won’t be disappointed.

Sūpasātra is the first restaurant serving up a slice of Sri Lankan and South Asian cuisine to the Quayside. So, whether you’re looking for fiery curries, mouth-watering seafood or sweet relishes, Sūpasātra has spiced things up with their fantastic offer of four courses for £20 – meaning you get the chance to really explore their menu. We’re talking coconut-coated fried prawns, kadai chicken and mango sago pudding.

Another new face to this year’s Newcastle Restaurant Week is Missy Milieu’s – a new all-day relaxed bar and bistro in the heart of Toon. From confit bang bang chicken lollipops to slow-cooked feather blade of beef with mustard mash and sticky toffee pudding topped with bourbon toffee sauce, the food menu here features culinary creations, homemade delicacies and twists on British classics.

Multi-award-winning late-night bar, No28, is well-known as Newcastle City Centre’s finest hidden gem and for serving one of the best bottomless brunches going. But now is your chance to explore their delicious food menu this Newcastle Restaurant Week. We’re talking about a choice of one tapa whether that be garlic king prawns, Manchego cheese and southern fried chicken. Plus, you get the pick of two sides, too – we’ve got our eyes on the patatas bravas. Finish things off by indulging in cookies and cream waffles.

Gino D’Acampo’s Newcastle Quayside has become one of our go-to restaurants when it comes to our cheese and carb cravings. So, of course, we’ll be visiting next week with this delicious deal. Feast your eyes on arancini for starters, then the marinated and grilled chicken pizza for your main and finish off you’re evening in Italian style with a panna cotta with Irish cream. Bon appetite!
