Cocktails, carbs and coffee – the three things we’re always craving to help us get by on these dark, cold winter days.

But imagine being served a giant 20-inch pizza and 20 signature cocktails to choose from to wash it down – sounds like the perfect pick-me-up, right?

A visit to Twenty Twenty will brighten up anyone’s day. Known for its boozy bottomless brunch, this Newcastle cocktail bar and restaurant is a slice above the rest.

Twenty Twenty, Newcastle, is perfect for any occasion, whether that be for after-work pizza and drinks, coffee catchups, late cocktail date nights or boozy bottomless brunch.

As we all know having little ones or four-legged friends can sometimes limit your social calendar and where you feel comfortable going. But Twenty Twenty has you covered by being dog-friendly and having a children’s menu, too.

We all know that sinking feeling when we reach out for the last slice of pizza knowing there’s no more. But worry no more, Twenty Twenty is the first bar to serve up the biggest pizzas in Newcastle (that are perfect for the ‘gram, too.)

And it’s not just their extensive cocktail menu and pizzas making a statement, as soon as you step inside away from the hustle and bustle of the Bigg Market you’ll be transported to a laid-back New York-style restaurant.

Think exposed brick, vibrant graffiti art and modern marble top tables. It’s safe to say Twenty Twenty is bringing a stylish sociable space and some fresh new vibes to the Bigg Market.

If you love cheese, carbs and a cheeky cocktail (or 20), Twenty Twenty is a must-visit.

EAT

Let’s start with the reason why we all want to visit Twenty Twenty  – those 20-inch whopping pizzas. Each pizza serves two to three people and each slice of pizza is the size of an 8-inch pizza.

Owner Mark has revealed that many customers have struggled to finish and have admitted defeat by taking leftovers home in a box – are you up for the challenge?

But what makes these delicious triangles of cheesy and carby goodness special is their unique toppings – it really is love at first bite.

At Twenty Twenty you can expect a relaxed and laidback dining experience that’s very much a hands-on affair. Here it’s all about getting stuck in and grabbing a massive slice, folding it in half and dunking it into a delicious dip – just as if you’re at home. (But, of course, there’s cutlery available, too.)

From Bombay Bad Boy featuring Tandoori chicken, onion bhaji and mango chutney to Mexican Standoff with fajita seasoning, red onion, coriander, sour cream and crumbled nachos, at Twenty Twenty you’ll experience some fantastic flavour fusions that you’ve never had before.

Ok, so we’ve heard of pineapple ( love it or hate it), but how about banana on a pizza? Introducing The Porky Banana with pancetta, salami, prosciutto, banana habanero sauce, cherry tomatoes and basil – you’ll be surprised!

Although the pizzas take centre stage there are also likes of nachos, dough petals and a range of flavoured popcorn on the menu. Plus, there’s make-your-own pizza to make things fun for children and plenty of vegan alternatives on the menu to make sure no one’s missing out, there’s something for everyone at Twenty Twenty, Newcastle.

DRINK

With 20 signature cocktails and sensational mocktails, Twenty Twenty is open until 2 am on Friday and Saturday with a DJ there bringing all the good vibes. Plus, 2-4-£12 Happy Hour runs daily from 12-7pm, Monday-Friday, and all day Sunday.

Whether you want to go for something classic with a twist like a Boozy Iced Latte, fancy something spicy with a Spice Up Your Life – Licor 43, Absolut Vodka, cloudy apple juice and maple spice syrup – or go for something exotic with a Kiwi Go Again, a fusion of Absolut Vodka, kiwi, raspberry, lemon juice and cloudy apple,  there are plenty of beverages to explore.

And Twenty Twenty serves a selection of delicious mocktails, from a Soft Pornstar to Apple & Ginger Collins to a Nojito.  Or if you’re wanting to catch up over a freshly brewed cuppa, Twenty Twenty serves delicious coffees made with Tynemouth Coffee Company’s beans.
