From waking up to birdsong to candlelit sunset suppers and soaking in a hot tub, before cosying up beside a log burner, you really can’t get any more romantic than this, right?

And that’s exactly what you’ll experience with a romantic retreat at The Wildflower Shepherd’s Hut, Northumberland.

There’s nothing like escaping the hustle and bustle of city life and the stresses of everyday life to be at one with nature and spend quality time with your loved one – just the two of you.

Just a 16-minute drive from the picturesque Northumberland village of Hexham, The Wildflower’s Shepherd’s Hut is home in the heart of East Farm Glamping that’s surrounded by an area of outstanding natural beauty.

From a peaceful private trickling stream to a warm wood-fired hot tub and all the home-away-from-home luxury amenities you need, a staycation here is calling your name.

HLN TOP TIP: If you book a 3-night stay between Friday – Monday, get a £70 discount by quoting ‘WEEKEND70’

As soon as you step into The Wildflower Shepherd’s Hut, you’ll notice the stunning contemporary but cosy interior gives you a taste of luxury during your stay. With an infusion of old and new and bringing the calming elements of nature inside, this hut has a unique and modern twist on a traditional shepherd’s hut and will charm you with its elegance and comfort.

On arrival, you’ll be greeted with a welcome hamper filled with locally sourced brownies, coffee/teas, milk and condiments, to enjoy a cuppa and sweet treat as you unpack.

From a well-equipped kitchen area – including everything you need for cooking both indoors and outdoors – to a modern, spacious bathroom complete with fresh, cotton towels and towelled robes provided, you have all the little luxuries you need.

And after a full day of exploring, cosy up beside a warm wood burner  before sinking into a luxury king-sized bed with a soft duck feather down duvet while listening to the soothing, trickling sounds of the stream. We guarantee you’ll have the best night’s sleep that you’ve had in ages.

As we all know how unpredictable the British weather can be, The Wildflower has many electrical sockets to charge your phone and electrical equipment as well as a Smart TV, board and card games and guidebooks to keep you entertained.

There’s nothing as zen as waking up, walking through those French doors and taking in the sound of birdsong and peace and quiet while tucking into a late-morning breakfast on a tranquil terrace with countryside views, right?

Kick back, relax and lie back on the comfortable lounge chairs and enjoy the sun all day long with your private south-facing decking area.

Before snuggling up with a glass of wine, light up the barbecue and watch the stunning Northumbrian sunset – a special moment and view that we know you won’t forget anytime soon. Of course, your luxurious glamping experience wouldn’t be complete without toasting some marshmallows on the firepit, too.

And what better way to finish your day than soaking in the luxurious wood-fired hot tub while immersing yourself in nature and enjoying the natural experience while gazing up at the twinkling star-lit sky?
