When women support each other, incredible things happen’ – Viola Davis

It’s International Women’s Day, a day we ladies come together to look back on how far we’ve come, to focus on what more can be done towards achieving gender equality and to celebrate just how amazing women are.

‘How I love being a woman’ is trending on TikTok, where women around the world are sharing their favourite things about being a woman. And although those big career moves and challenging stereotypes are all great achievements, sometimes it’s those little moments that make us the proudest to be women.

From those wine nights that are the only therapy we need, to how our bodies transform when we’re pregnant and even that support hub we get from strangers when visiting the ladies’ bathroom, we’ve rounded up some of our favourite reasons why we love being women.

OUR MIRACLE BODIES

The female body is a miracle. Our body’s ability to transform to procreate and give life into the world is truly the most special gift of all. But not only that we should celebrate how our bodies are unique to us no matter what shape and size we are. It’s time to shake what our mamas gave us.

INSIDE THE LADIES’ BATHROOM

It’s hard to find a more supportive place to be other than in the ladies’ bathroom. Whether it be complimenting each other’s looks or if you need a tampon, girl groups meeting in the toilets are the best support system and you’ll make friends for life.

EMBRACING OUR CURVES

Our lovely lady lumps can come in very handy when it comes to small life struggles. Carrying heavy files? Perch them on our hips. Sick of reaching out to the side table to drink our iced coffee? Rest it on our boobs. Our lumps and bumps are perfect for daily life hacks.
