After months, and maybe even years of wedding planning, it’s safe to say that your wedding day will pass by in a blur.
If you and your partner want to remember your big day in as much detail as possible, there’s no better way to go about this than by hiring a wedding videographer.
Whether you couldn’t think of anything worse than posing for pictures, are scared to miss a moment of your day or want to rewatch your vows and speeches, a wedding film gives you the chance to relive your big day. Looking back on your wedding you wouldn’t want to have any regrets, but one common regret we’ve heard from many newlyweds is not hiring a wedding videographer.
With so many North East wedding videographers with unique styles, finding the right one who captures your personality can be hard. But if you’re after a light, classical and natural wedding film, look no further than Silver Fern Films.
Natural, romantic and timeless, that is exactly what you can expect from a wedding film produced by North East wedding videographer, Stacey Sweeney. With over seven years of capturing over 200 weddings and experience working alongside her dad as a wedding photographer, Stacey knows all those intimate moments to look out for to create a wedding film that you’ll treasure for a lifetime.
We caught up with Stacey to find out how hiring a wedding videographer can help capture your day in a more special, seamless and sentimental way compared to still photos…

KEEPS MEMORIES OF YOUR SPECIAL DAY ALIVE
Although wedding photos capture your day perfectly, they don’t capture audio. A wedding videographer will capture your vows, speeches and your guest’s well wishes on film which will turn into a sentimental family heirloom.
‘Wedding films give newlyweds a chance to re-live these special moments with loved ones and share them with those who couldn’t be there on the day,’ says Stacey. ‘In years to come, future children and grandchildren will be able to enjoy seeing the people and events of your special day.’

NO POSING FOR CAMERA-SHY COUPLES
Often some couples can feel awkward in front of the camera when being asked to pose, whereas wedding videography is natural and captures moments without feeling staged.
‘If you’re uncomfortable in front of the camera and worry about looking unnatural when posing, I can help you feel more relaxed and at ease on your special day,’ says Stacey. ‘My style is natural and candid, and I prefer capturing moments as and when they happen rather than staging them. That said, if couples would like guidance, then I can draw upon my experience to show them the way’

HAVE THE ULTIMATE UNPLUGGED CEREMONY
No one wants their wedding guests watching your happy ever after through a phone screen. Having a wedding videographer gives you a polite way to stop your wedding guests from capturing your special moments themselves.
‘Hiring a videographer will capture the moments that you and your guests were able to be completely present for. I know where to stand to get that perfect shot and an unplugged ceremony means no reaction or emotion is hidden behind a phone.’

A VIDEOGRAPHER WON’T GET IN THE WAY
One of the biggest fears some couples have about wedding videography is that the presence of a camera will not enable them to relax and truly enjoy their day. But this isn’t true.
‘I try and be as unobtrusive as possible and capture the day as it happens and those natural, special moments of everyone enjoying the day,’ says Stacey ‘I may take you for a walk to get those lovely couple of shots, but I try to blend into the background.’

SEE MOMENTS THAT YOU MIGHT HAVE MISSED
You can’t possibly see how your guests will react to certain parts of your day – but on film, you’ll be able to look back at everyone and see things that you may not have seen if you didn’t hire a wedding videographer.
‘Think about your guests’ reactions during the ceremony and adorable moments from the wedding party,’ says Stacey. ‘It makes my job so worthwhile when my couples watch their wedding film and discover funny, emotional or adorable moments that they actually missed on the day.’

WEDDING VIDEOGRAPHY IS MORE AFFORDABLE THAN YOU THINK
Nothing can put a price on capturing memories on the biggest day of your life. As well all know weddings come with a huge price tag but a wedding film is something that you will treasure for your whole lifetime.
‘I know that every wedding is different, so I offer two types of packages but please get in touch with me to discuss a customised quote based on your date and venue and what your needs are for the day,’ says Stacey. ‘My main goal is to create a wedding film that you’ll adore and share with all your loved ones over and over again.’
