Manahatta is making its grand debut on Collingwood Street on 18th November, bringing the beat of New York to Newcastle City Centre.
Big Apple glamour by day, and cocktail bar party vibes by night – we’re talking extended two-hour bottomless brunches, a New York-inspired menu and DJs playing until the early hours.
Opening on Saturday 18th November – just in time for the festive season – Manahatta will be a staple in the Toon’s nightlife scene.
THE VIBE
Making itself at home in a Grade II listed building on Collingwood Street, Manahatta will join Newcastle’s much-loved Diamond Strip.
The former bank building will be transformed into an immersive experience to transport us to the energetic heart of Manhattan.
It’s bringing all of Manahatta’s iconic features, including a long cocktail bar, neon signs, disco balls and swing chairs. Upstairs, there’s a mezzanine floor that will have a second bar and is available to hire for events and parties.
Or, for something more intimate, they have an upstairs private dining room too.
During the day, it will be open for long lunches, bottomless brunches and early cocktails. And for party lovers, Manahatta offers a famously fun late-night experience, where DJs will be taking centre stage every night to lead the party vibe.
BRUNCH AND DRINKS
Let’s start with the brunch.
Every day until 3.00pm, Manahatta offers an extended two-hour bottomless brunch experience with unlimited prosecco, cocktails and beer alongside one brunch or lunch dish.
But it doesn’t stop there, they also offer a bottomless party option between 3.00pm and 8.00pm where you can have two hours to get the party started with unlimited drinks and a dish from the main menu.
Keep an eye out for its special events, including a Beyonce-themed drag brunch and festive options, coming soon.
Manahatta is also bringing its larger-than-life drinks to Newcastle, including its famous supersized pornstar martini and magnums of prosecco which are perfect for sharing with pals.
THE FOOD
The chefs have expanded the food menu to offer a range of small plates from the big city. Think spicy beef nachos, salmon tacos, halloumi and mozzarella fries, gyozas and more.
The brunch and lunch menu looks insane, bringing a real taste of New York (pun intended). We can’t wait to try the ‘cheesy on the eye’ grilled cheese sandwich and the lemon and mascarpone pancake stack.
For mains, they have traditional steak frites, alongside options like ramen, Caesar salad and burgers.
For Christmas, they have some great options which are a break from the traditional fayre, with a ‘hogs and kisses’ breakfast pretzel, ‘away in a bagel’ stuffed with chicken, brie and chutney, or a huge festive burger.
Vegan, veggie and gluten-free requirements are all well-catered for.
