Durham Restaurant Week is back for 2024.

From Friday 26th January to Friday 2nd February, we’ll be able to enjoy special menus at our favourite Durham restaurants – and tick off the ones we’ve been wanting to try for ages.

Restaurant Faru Durham

The first restaurant from Jake and Laura Siddle – former chef and front-of-house manager and Michelin-starred House of Tides. Faru made it to the Michelin Guide within just months of opening.

Already an HLN favourite (read about Molly and Rachael’s visit here), the team use seasonal produce to create the most delicious dishes. Top of our list.

Coarse restaurant Durham

Coarse

Reform Place, North Road, Durham, NH1 4RZ

Led by head chef and co-owner Ruari MacKay, Coarse is one of only two restaurants in the city featured in the Michelin Guide (the other is Faru).

Ruari started his career working with Terry Laybourne at Jesmond Dene House, working his way up to head chef at 21.
