THE ACCOMMODATION OPTIONS

Tents and Touring
Herding Hill Farm is open all year round for touring caravans, camper vans and motor homes (yes, even Christmas Day). They have spacious, hard-standing pitches, four of which are located directly opposite the amenities block for those who prefer convenience and all have access to electricity.
Tents are welcome on grass pitches between Easter and October.
Fire pits are available to hire on all touring and camping pitches so you can keep warm around the flames while looking up into the Dark Skies.

Wigwam Cabins
Herding Hill Farm’s eco-friendly glamping pods are made from sustainable wood and are great for families who want to experience the excitement of camping without the hassle of putting up a tent. Warm and cosy, they have a small fridge, microwave, toaster, and kettle to make your stay more comfortable, as well as heating and thick foam mattresses to keep you warm (note: bedding isn’t provided but can be hired and some of the cabins have toilets and running water).
Fire pits can be hired for the cabins too, as well as BBQ pits or the nearby BBQ hut so you can grill your sausages under cover if the British weather isn’t on your side.
Some of the cabins come with hot tubs, perfect for unwinding after a day exploring.
Up to two well-behaved dogs are welcome for an extra charge.
Cabins can be booked 365 days a year.

Castle Pods
Looking for a romantic couples break? These are the cabins for you. The castle pods are all-year-round luxury glamping pods, located in a secluded spot at the bottom of the campsite.
Each pod has an en-suite bathroom with towels and luxury toiletries provided, a double bed made up with fresh linen, a spacious living area (with a Smart TV and Netflix), a kitchenette with all crockery and utensils provided and a wood-burning stove for cosy nights.
Outside, there’s a private decking area with a hot tub, BBQ and fire pit. Here, you can watch the dramatic sunsets and stargaze.
A couple of the pods are dog-friendly for a small charge.
Note that these gorgeous pods are adults-only. Minimum two-night stay.

Luxury Lodge
Need more beds? The luxury holiday lodge with hot tub is perfect.
With three bedrooms, the lodge can sleep up to six (four adults maximum). The location is so cute, with a small, enclosed garden overlooking the animal petting farm so you can sit back and watch the alpacas and donkey grazing in their paddocks. It also has a decking area with furniture, a BBQ and hot tub.
Everything you need for a relaxed short stay is included – including a coffee machine, WiFi, Smart TV, bed linen, towels and a welcome pack which includes tea, coffee, and prosecco (all of the essentials).
THE AMENITIES
There’s a reason Herding Hill Farm has been rated 5 AA Platinum Pennant and 5-star by Visit England. The facilities are immaculate, it’s super friendly and welcoming, and very considerate of all guests (they have a low-noise policy on-site so that everyone can enjoy their break).
Family-friendly – Children will have a ball thanks to the range of activities on offer, including a petting farm, playground, ball area and seasonal events.
Luxury amenities building – when we say luxury, we mean luxury. Think under-floor heating, hot power shows, bathtubs, and a sauna that can be hired privately for just £5 per hour. Plus, it even has an indoor campers kitchen which is proving very popular.
BBQ hut – don’t let the British weather dampen your fun. The indoor BBQ hut can be hired to enjoy all year round. It seats up to 20 people and can be hired at just £40 for two hours.
Licensed shop on site – yes, that means it sells wine. As well as ice cream, sweets, BBQ meat packs, Northumberland produce, toiletries and more. So handy.
Homemade pizza – arriving after work on Friday and can’t be bothered to cook? Herding Hill Farm has got you sorted. Available most Friday evenings from 6.00pm – 7.30pm, you can order delicious pizza delivered to your accommodation by one of the on-site wardens. They also do garlic bread and French fries – the ultimate feast to kick off your weekend.
Optional extras – celebrating something special? The team at Herding Hill Farm can make your stay extra special by pre-arranging champagne, prosecco, flowers or celebration packs where everything will be set up for your arrival.
