A Greggs Champagne Bar is coming to Fenwick Newcastle

Two iconic North East brands are joining forces again to bring a new Greggs Champagne Bar to Fenwick Newcastle.

Open from Thursday, 24th October to Tuesday 31st December, the first-ever Greggs Champagne Bar will reside in Fenwick Food Hall, open from 11.30am until store closing on a reservation-only basis.

Expect Greggs’ savoury menu of bakes and rolls served with an elevated selection of condiments and garnishes, alongside Fenwick Food Halls finest Champagnes.

What to expect

The indulgent menu has been specially created by Fenwick Executive Head Chef Mark Reid in collaboration with Greggs, and condiments are key here…

  • Steak Bake with creamy peppercorn alioli
  • Sausage, Bean and Cheese Melt with Bloody Mary ketchup
  • Sausage Roll with hot honey chilli sauce

And not forgetting the sparkles, the dishes will be served with handpicked Champagnes served by the glass or bottle, including:

  • Bollinger Rosé
  • Laurent Perrier
  • Louis Roederer Cristal

The prestigious Louis Roederer Cristal will be available at £75.00 per glass or £425.00 by the bottle, and the Greggs Champagne Bar will be the first and only place in the region to offer the Cristal by the glass.

There will also be a number of cocktails on offer, such as:

  • Yum Yum Twist – a sweet, sugar-glazed cocktail crafted with rum and real Yum Yums
  • Cream Éclair – vanilla vodka and dark chocolate liqueur
  • Pink Jammie Fizz – in collaboration with Mother Mercy
  • Peach Melba – a non-alcoholic option.

The design of The Greggs Champagne Bar at Fenwick pays homage to the Belle Epoque era, a period in French history characterised by beauty and joy. The space has been designed to feel decadent, mirroring Art Nouveau details throughout.

16 customers will be able to sit around a curved bar, synonymous with 1900s Paris, as guests sip from bespoke Sausage Roll etched Champagne coupes. Guests can also ring vintage, crystal bells to top up their tipple.
