In a time when so many high street shops are sadly closing, it’s really refreshing to see Jules B not only surviving but thriving.

This year, the iconic independent fashion retailer is celebrating an incredible milestone – 40 years of style.

Since first opening its doors in 1984, Jules B has become a fashion powerhouse in the North East, offering exclusive designer brands and nurturing the next big names in fashion.

And now, it’s marking this achievement with an unmissable anniversary event – featuring exclusive discounts for its autumn/winter collections.

YOU’RE INVITED TO CELEBRATE – MARK YOUR CALENDARS

To thank its customers for your loyal support over the years, Jules B is hosting a special anniversary event on Wednesday 23rd October.

The event will be held at Jules B’s Jesmond store on Osborne Road, running from 10am to 7pm – so whether you’re an early bird or prefer an after-work browse, you’ve got all day to join in the celebrations.

And for those who are a little further afield, don’t worry. There’s also an event at the Kendal stores (both menswear and womenswear) on Thursday 24th October.

What to expect

This all-day celebration promises a shopping experience like no other. You’ll get the chance to meet the founders, Julian and Rhona Blades themselves, alongside other special industry guests. Get ready to enjoy some celebratory drinks as you shop, chat and celebrate.

This event gives you the perfect excuse to update your wardrobe for the new season. From chic coats to stylish boots and cosy autumnal accessories, this is your chance to bag some serious fashion staples.

And because no celebration is complete without surprises, Jules B has more in store. Think raffles, goodie bags and a few mystery treats.

A JOURNEY OF STYLE AND SUCCESS

Jules B started as a passion project by husband-and-wife team Julian and Rhona Blades. The couple’s mission was to bring high-end womenswear to the North East. Opening their first womenswear store in Jesmond, they quickly became a hit, leading to the launch of a menswear store right next door.

Fast forward to today, and Jules B has expanded to a multi-channel business with multi-award-winning boutique stores and an online store. It’s now a go-to destination for fashion lovers across the region and the globe.

With a keen eye for quality and style, Julian and Rhona have spent decades curating a selection of both established and up-and-coming designers. Their passion for delivering the best has earned Jules B national recognition, including prestigious Drapers awards like Best Independent Fashion Retailer in Britain and a Lifetime Achievement Award for services to the industry.

40 years on, Jules B remains at the forefront of fashion and they’re ready to celebrate this incredible journey with the help of their loyal customers.

For Julian and Rhona, their success is down to two things – their dedicated team and their loyal customers. “We’re both extremely proud to have been able to reach this milestone when so many independent retailers have struggled to survive,” says Julian and Rhona. “But thanks to our amazing loyal customers and staff we have endured and look forward to growing the business in the years to come.”
