Before styling a bodysuit, there are a few things you might want to consider…

To wear a bra, or not – Wondering if you should wear a bra and underwear with your bodysuit? Well, it all depends on the style and support you’re looking for. Some bodysuits come with built-in bras for extra lift and support, while others enable you to wear your favourite bra underneath them. However, some variations will be designed to be worn without a bra altogether.

And what about knickers? – As for underwear, it’s totally up to you. Just make sure whatever you choose fits smoothly under the bodysuit to avoid those pesky panty lines.

Snaps are best – Bear in mind, if you’re not a fan of undressing in the toilet, then you might want to look for a bodysuit with a snap closure. These usually have one or two small snaps at the crotch to keep everything in place. You’ll find that the majority of bodysuits have a snap closure for your convenience.

Nailing the perfect fit of your bodysuit

Getting the right-sized bodysuit is super important if you want it to look seamless and feel comfortable. When your bodysuit fits just right, it will hug your curves perfectly, hiding any signs that it’s even a bodysuit.

The right size also means no awkward pulling or bunching. No matter what you decide to pair your bodysuit with, being jeans, a skirt or trousers, nailing the right size ensures it will stay tucked in and look effortlessly chic all day.

A tip for tall girlies: If you’ve got a longer torso, bodysuits can sometimes feel a little tight since they have to stretch from top to bottom. If this is you, then you might want to shop for bodysuits in the tall section as they will be better designed for your torso length.

Remember, the size on the tag doesn’t matter; it’s all about how comfortable you feel and how fabulous it looks.

What about that pesky join?

  • A belt can be your best friend, providing a focal point for the eye and breaking up the join.
  • Layering it with high-waisted bottoms or choose thicker fabrics
