It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas at The Biscuit Factory, here’s some of the events on their festive calendar we’ll be booking this year.
FOR ALL THE CHRISTMAS FEELS…
The Winter Social
Thursday 5th December 2024 from 5pm – 8pm
Cost: free
Join The Biscuit Factory for a festive evening. Enjoy a complimentary drink while browsing Deborah Grice’s winter collection, with live music to set the mood. In The Factory Kitchen, sample wines from Corney & Barrow, paired with tapas and pick the perfect bottles for your Christmas table, chosen by Royal Warrant-holding experts.
Gingerbread Street
Wednesday 4th – Tuesday 24th December 2024 from 10am – 5pm
Cost: free
This December, The Biscuit Factory will host a unique Gingerbread Street exhibition, the first in the North East. Created by local businesses and schools, the display is part of Oasis Community Housing’s Christmas Appeal to raise awareness of homelessness and the importance of community. While the buildings are made entirely of gingerbread, sadly, no nibbling is allowed.
FOR THE FESTIVE FOODIES…
Festive Afternoon Tea
Saturday 16th November 2024 – Sunday 12th January 2025 – Wednesday to Sunday from 2.00pm
Cost: from £29 per person
Treat yourself to a festive afternoon tea at The Factory Kitchen café this Christmas. Enjoy winter warmers with stunning views of Ouseburn from the heated rooftop terrace. Indulge in seasonal sandwiches, savoury bites (honey and mustard pigs in blankets – we’re sold) and sweet treats like carrot and cranberry cake. Tea or coffee is included or prosecco or craft ale for a festive upgrade.
Supper Club
Friday 22nd November 2024 from 7pm
Cost: £60 per person
Join The Factory Kitchen for a festive evening of seasonal dishes created by head chef, Michael Waugh, featuring the finest Northumbrian ingredients. Enjoy a three-course menu with options like smoked salmon, herb-crusted lamb or a delicious vegetarian tarte tatin. Paired with perfect wines and cocktails, this is a night perfect for foodies and if you need a Christmas catch-up.
Festive Brunch
Tuesday 24th & Tuesday 31st December 2024 from 10am – 2pm
Cost:£25 per person
Kick off your festive celebrations at The Factory Kitchen in style with a brunch on Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve. Enjoy panoramic views of Ouseburn from the heated rooftop terrace while tucking into dishes like the Factory Kitchen breakfast or veggie breakfast, along with a sweet treat from the deli. Choose from seasonal cocktails or cosy drinks to wash down the festive feast with.
Corney Barrow Wine Tasting & Tapas
Thursday 5th December 2024 from 6pm – 7.30pm
Cost: £29 per person
The Factory Kitchen will be hosting an evening of quality wines paired with a delicious tapas selection. Plus, receive a special gift when you purchase your Christmas wine during the event. This popular event is almost sold out so you’ll need to be quick, or you can sign up for a chance to attend in case of any cancellations.

Christmas Wreath Making with Harvest Moon
Saturday 30th November 2024 from 10:30am – 1pm
Cost: £68
Transform your front door with a custom handmade wreath. Using a stunning selection of British foliage, dried fruits, cones and ribbons, you’ll learn to create a traditional moss base from scratch. Personalise your wreath with festive touches to make it truly unique.
Jesmonite Decorations with DarnIt! Workshops
Saturday 7th December 2024 from 1:45pm – 4pm

Join Kim from Darn It! Workshops to craft your own Christmas decorations using Jesmonite. Discover its versatility as you learn to weigh, mix and add colours for unique designs. Print your own Gift Wrap with Pui Lee
Saturday 7th December 2024 from 10:30am – 12:30pm & 1.30pm – 3.00pm

Join professional artist Pui Lee for a festive crafting workshop where you’ll create bespoke wrapping paper and gift tags using block-printing and stencilling techniques. In this two-hour session, you’ll learn lino printmaking by hand-carving designs from a linoleum block and rolling ink over it.
Christmas Centrepiece Making with Harvest Moon Floral Art

Create a stunning handmade centrepiece to dress your table, windowsill or mantle using a beautiful selection of British foliage, florals and embellishments tailored to your taste.
