Darlington Christmas Lights Switch On
Sunday 17th November from 4pm
Kick off the festive season the right way at Market Square. Join the Christmas light switch-on, hosted by Steve and Karen from Hits Radio Breakfast Show. Enjoy live music, fun and a special appearance from Santa himself. Don’t miss the grand finale – a two-minute fireworks display.

The Darlington Christmas Market

Christmas is just around the corner, and this year’s market is the biggest yet. Explore over 60 festive stalls at Market Square, with bars and street food galore. Enchanted Forest Reindeer Trail at Hopetown
Tuesday 26th November – Tuesday 31st December from 1pm

It’s nearly midnight on Christmas Eve, and Santa has arrived at Hopetown Darlington on Locomotion No.1 – but his reindeer have escaped. Can you help find them? Explore the transformed Carriage Works, a magical forest filled with festive trees, woodland creatures and hidden reindeer. Take a wintery walk, follow clues and help Santa prepare for his big journey.

Visit Santa in the beautiful, historic Carriage Works at Hopetown. This two-hour experience includes a magical grotto visit, festive crafts and an Enchanted Forest Reindeer Trail. Ice Sculpture Trail

This Christmas, explore Darlington on a tree-mendous ice sculpture trail. Grab a map and wander through town, spotting as many dazzling sculptures as you can. Get lost while gazing at these glittering creations and keep an eye out for free competitions happening throughout the event.
