Lazy Bear Tipi

Central Station, Neville Street, Newcastle-upon-Tyne, NE1 5DF

Female-owned Lazy Bear is back for 2024, with an updated design, live music every night and a larger heated outdoor area. Open from midday until late, seven days a week, Lazy Bear Tipi Bar offers a festive haven, whenever you need it. Plus, it’s dog-friendly so your pooch can enjoy the fun. The festive drinks menu includes mulled wine, mulled cider, and a signature range of hot chocolates, plus cocktails, Prosecco and cold beers. Our favourite part? The outdoor heated seating area has been expanded and now includes more comfortable options, with new décor to match the festive cheer. The bear is officially out of hibernation…

Moosenwirt Alpine Bar

A Newcastle stalwart nestled in the heart of the Newcastle Christmas Market, Moosenwirt pop-up Alpine bar is back with an entire village for 2024, featuring the 

beloved giant yurt (handcrafted in Hexham), a luxury igloo dome, huge log wood bar, cosy seating and fire pit areas. Open daily from 10.00am – 11.00pm, whether you want a hot chocolate for breakfast or an afternoon mulled wine, Moosenwirt is here for you. Plus, there are regular live acoustic artists to keep you entertained – good vibes guaranteed.

Pavilion Tipi 

Carlisle Park, Morpeth, NE61 1YD

New for 2024, there’s a new festive venue in the heart of Morpeth. Dog-friendly and family-friendly, this cosy tipi bar will be serving drinks from Hummingbird Cocktails and street food from One Burgers, The Greekster, and Trigo Wood Fire Pizza. Plus, there’ll be live music every Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Open Thursday to Sunday from midday, this is the perfect spot to get all of the festive vibes after shopping in Morpeth’s market town.

The Alpine Tipi at The Tempus 

Charlton Hall Estate, Northumberland, NE67 5DZ

The tipi at The Tempus has had an Alpine festive makeover for you to enjoy every Friday and Saturday from 4.00pm – 10.00pm. Think fire pits, sheepskin rugs and live music to enjoy cosy weekend evenings. A festive twist has been added to their staple wood-fire pizza menu, alongside a selection of festive street food. There’s also a great Christmas cocktail menu, as well as fine wines and festive drinks. Dogs are welcome.

Bishop Auckland Christmas Town: Giant Tipi Bar 

Bishop Auckland Marketplace, County Durham, DL14 7NP

Bishop Auckland is transforming its marketplace with a Christmas village for 2024. There’s a giant tipi bar adorned with fairy lights. Expect smoke-free fire pits, festive drinks and a full programme of live music and entertainment. Open from 4.00pm Monday to Friday and from 10.00am Saturday to Sunday.
