With a slick interior and terrace, this new restaurant serves up the freshest local seafood, premium steaks and delicious desserts. On the lunch menu, expect crab sourdough and fresh lobster rolls, and during the evening, the meat lovers sharing board looks insane. Go hungry.
Durano Lounge

The former Tynemouth Toy Museum on Grand Parade has been reimagined as a trendy all-day hangout welcoming the whole family – including dogs. With board games, toys for little ones, and even a dog menu, there’s something for everyone. The all-day food offerings span breakfast, brunch, lunch, and dinner, alongside weekly specials like complimentary wine or pudding with a burger on Mondays and Tapas Tuesdays, where three tapas and a glass of wine are just £13.25.

On the second floor, Chapters transforms from a daytime sports bar to a lively nightclub. And at the top, The Library delivers luxury cocktails, live music, DJs, and rooftop views. It’s a great concept that we can’t wait to check out.
Bloom Longevity Labs
The Three Graces Spa at Grantley Hall, Ripon, HG4 3ET
The esteemed founder of ‘Time to Bloom’, Dr Lubna, is taking up residency at Grantley Hall’s Three Graces Spa on the first Wednesday of every month. Each client will go through an initial consultation with Dr Lubna to ensure their individual needs are carefully assessed. From here, comprehensive testing will take place to get to the cause of any underlying problems, and based on the results, a bespoke plan will be created, including nutrition, supplements, movement, in-clinic therapies, treatments and more.

The iconic American fast-food chain Wendy’s has arrived in Newcastle, on the corner of Grainger Street and the Bigg Market. Known for its square burgers (the French Onion is our fav), signature Frostys, and freshly made sandwiches like the Avocado Chicken Club, Wendy’s has brought its famous menu to the heart of the city. The best part? It’s open until 2.00am on Thursday, Friday and Saturday. See you there after a night on the Toon.
The Cove

Replacing Ora on Tynemouth’s Front Street, The Cove is a new cocktail, wine and tapas bar. There’s a lot on the menu that we’re here for, from the Breakfast Ciabatta with Geordie Bangers, to Scallop Thermidor and a Sunday Roast menu featuring Yorkshire Wraps. You can also choose a cocktail flight, which is excellent value for four cocktails (it would be rude not to try it).
Hotel Chocolat Velvetiser Café
Eldon Square Shopping Centre, Newcastle, NE1 7XW
Hotel Chocolat’s new concept store in Eldon Square (near LUSH), is a café serving a menu of its velvitised drinking chocolate. Whether you like dark, milk or white chocolate, there are 18 drinks to choose from, served hot, iced or shaken. You can also add ‘love match’ flavours, including praline and alcoholic twists. Sit in or takeaway – it’s the perfect pit stop when Christmas shopping.
