Skincare guru Caroline Hirons is bringing her popular podcast format on tour – and will be at Newcastle’s Tyne Theatre in February.

There isn’t much skincare expert Caroline Hirons doesn’t know about beauty, whether it’s what to use and when or which are the hottest new products on the market.

Her book Skincare: The New Edit was a Sunday Times bestseller, and her podcast – Glad We Had This Chat – offers a mix of celebrity conversation, hints and tips about beauty routines and beyond.

We caught up with Caroline ahead of her Glad We Had This Chat Unfiltered tour…

What’s brought about the Glad We Had This Chat tour?

I’ve been asked to go on tour for a long time, and with the success of the podcast, coupled with the demand from my followers, it seemed like the perfect opportunity. I’ve absolutely loved being able to interview new and old friends on the podcast over the past year, so it made sense to bring it to life with a live audience, too. I’m so looking forward to seeing everyone there across the UK and Ireland and having more great chats.

What can we expect? There will be regular listeners in attendance, of course, but what about the new-to-you audiences?

The audience can expect the usual mix of frank and funny conversation, all totally unfiltered. The tour will be a one-stop shop for everything beauty, interviewing a whole range of different special guests and getting to know their stories from their skincare regime and beyond. The second half of the show will see an audience Q&A and exclusive on-stage skincare demos, so there really should hopefully be something that stands out for everyone.

The North East is proud of glamming up – where do you stand on going big on the glam?

I’m a northerner! Go big or go home!

What’s your 2024 must-have product for party season looks?

VIEVE Skin Dew, the Hourglass Ambient Lighting Unlocked Evil Eye palette and Maybelline Panorama mascara.

And what about the beauty gift you are hoping for under the Christmas tree?

Hopefully a large bottle of Slow Dance by Byredo.

You’re coming to Newcastle in February – famously winter skin season: any tips for keeping it glowing?

The change from central heating to cold can compromise the skin barrier and make it feel parched. Layer a few drops of Skin Rocks The Support Oil under The Rich Moisturiser to replace any lost moisture and restore glow.
