How this Northumberland mum turned adversity into entrepreneurial success

As hard-working women, we seem to just ‘get on with it,’ powering through tough times with resilience, determination and perseverance.

We’re always there to listen, offer support and shoulder the burden for others. But when do we take a moment to actually focus on ourselves and our dreams? Life is too short to settle, no matter what our age.

As the new year is upon us, there’s no better time to focus on our ambitions and Sarah Pittendrigh is here to help us make it happen.

HOW TO TURN “I CAN’T” INTO “I CAN”

In 2008, Sarah Pittendrigh hit rock bottom. As a board director in a seven-figure business, she faced adversity when the company collapsed. This led Sarah to declare bankruptcy, lose her home and face eviction with her young son. Her world was turned upside down.

“At the time, I thought my life had ended, but it had actually just begun,” she says. “Instead of focusing on what I didn’t have, I reframed my mindset to focus on what I did have and used it to my advantage. I also focused on what I didn’t want, rather than what I did want. I stepped back, considered everything and redesigned my whole life. I took control at 40.”

Fast forward to today, and Sarah is not only a seven-figure entrepreneur but also a motivational speaker and business coach. Her journey from hardship to success now fuels her passion for helping other women achieve their own goals.
