NE1 Restaurant Week is back on 13th January 2025 – here are the deals we’re checking out
DOOD
63 Quayside, Newcastle-upon-Tyne, NE1 3DE
The deal: Enjoy a starter, main and side for just £25
This is the perfect reason to try one of Newcastle’s newest restaurants, which has proved extremely popular since it opened at the end of 2024. Choose from a range of delicious starters, mains and sides. We’ve got our eyes on the Pita Crusted Calamari, Mangal-Grilled Marinated Minced Lamb and Aleppo Chips.
Hula
90 Side, Newcastle-upon-Tyne, NE1 1PR
The deal: Enjoy a main and dessert for only £15 from the main menu or Sunday menu.
We love Newcastle’s only Hawaiian-inspired restaurant, where you’ll find flavours that you can’t get anywhere else in the Toon. They have a wide range on the menu to try as part of the NE1 Restaurant Week deal, but our advice is to use this one on a Sunday because their roasts are next-level comfort food (the soy-infused gravy is just the best).
Meat:Stack

The deal: Enjoy £15, £20 and £25 offers
This will probably be one of the best burgers we’ll ever eat in our lives so don’t miss out… Meat:Stack is collaborating with North East Chef of the Year, Hjem sous chef and the man behind SOKU, Law Norman, to offer a delicious menu of burgers, sandwiches, sides, shakes and pints. We’re seated.
Salparo
35 Side, Newcastle-upon-Tyne, NE1 3JE
The deal: Two courses for £20, or three courses for £25.
Salparo has been our go-to for Greek dining since it opened on Newcastle Quayside last year. This relaxed eatery has great quality food, and the Restaurant Week deal includes loads of dishes. We recommend sharing everything – favourites include Anchovies Bruschetta, Grilled Greek Pork Sausage, Zucchini Balls and Halloumi Nuggets.
Saltwater Fish Company
Fenwick Food Hall, Northumberland Street, NE1 7AF
The deal: Two courses for £20, or three courses for £25.
Saltwater Fish Company is a small but perfectly formed fish bar inside Fenwick Food Hall that serves up some of the best seafood in the city. Sit at the bar and watch the chefs prepare your food. The NE1 Restaurant Week menu has a great selection, including oysters to start and their famous main course – Saltwater Fishcakes with Parsley Cream and Chips.
The French Quarter

A great value deal to try one of HLN’s favourite restaurants in Newcastle. Choose from a choice of three starters, three main courses and three desserts. We can highly recommend the Cured Ham and Torched Figs starter with Roquefort Blue Cheese – it’s so good.
Available Tuesday to Friday between 12noon – 2:30pm and 5.00pm-6:30pm.
