Lunar New Year Parade – Newcastle City Centre

Newcastle will be celebrating this Sunday, starting with the famous dragon and lion dance parade through the heart of the city centre, with drummers and dancers helping ring in the Lunar New Year – the Year of the Snake.The celebrations will start at Grey’s Monument at 11.30am with the procession making its way through Blackett Street, Gallowgate and arriving at the Chinese Arch on Stowell Street at midday. Local food vendors will line Bath Lane from 11.00am, selling food and refreshments. Families can also enjoy fairground rides and an arts and crafts tent, making it a great day out for all ages.

Winter Chocolate & Cocktails Workshop with Hummingbird Drinks – Davenport’s Chocolate Factory

Queen Heaven: 360° immersive dome show

Queen Heaven has been enjoyed by audiences around the world from Germany to Japan – and now you can see it in Newcastle! Enjoy legendary rock band Queen’s hits set to fun, exciting visuals in Life’s Planetarium (a 360° immersive dome). Using original archive footage, it celebrates the best of Queen’s music, including ‘Bohemian Rhapsody’; ‘We Will Rock You’; ‘Radio Gaga’ and ‘We are the Champions’, combining classic music videos and immersive solar system visuals. Suitable for ages 13+. Anyone under 18 must be accompanied by an adult.
