The Life Science Centre is back with its Relaxed Sunday Sessions, which take place every Sunday for those who would prefer to explore in a quiet environment.

Ideal for those with autism or sensory needs, the centre will have fewer visitors during this time and be less noisy. There will also be relaxed shows in the planetarium and Science Theatre.

Lighting and sound levels will be altered wherever possible. For example, hand-dryers will be turned off during each session to ensure ultimate quiet time.

Wild Walk – Washington Wetland Centre

This hour-long wild walk lets you take in the sights and sounds of the reserve in winter.

The Centre’s wardens will lead the way, telling you about different catkins, nuts and seeds (and what may have nibbled them). See if you can spot any snowdrops along the way!

For any photographers out there, this is a great opportunity to capture the beautiful creatures that appear along the walk.
