What to watch at the cinema this February

Love Hurts – 7th February
Ke Huy Quan (Everything Everywhere All at Once) stars as Marvin Gable, a successful realtor forced to confront his past when his ex, Rose (Ariana DeBose), resurfaces with an ominous message. As if that wasn’t enough, his crime lord brother is also hot on his trail. A tense thriller blending action and emotional depth, Love Hurts is set to be a gripping ride.

Dog Man – 7th February
Part dog, part man, all hero. From the creators of Kung Fu Panda and How to Train Your Dragon comes the animated adaptation of Dav Pilkey’s bestselling Dog Man series. Our canine-human hybrid protagonist is on a mission to protect and serve as he takes on the villainous Petey the Cat. Featuring a star-studded voice cast, including Pete Davidson, Isla Fisher, Billy Boyd, and Ricky Gervais, this is a must-watch for fans of family-friendly adventure.

Bridget Jones: Mad About the Boy – 13th February
Bridget is back. Academy Award winner Renée Zellweger returns for the fourth instalment of the beloved Bridget Jones series. Based on Helen Fielding’s novel, this time, we find Bridget navigating life as a widowed single mum after the loss of Mark Darcy (Colin Firth). As she dives into the world of dating apps, she’s pursued by a younger man (Leo Woodall) and her son’s charming science teacher (Chiwetel Ejiofor). Expect plenty of laughs, romance, and tears – have the tissues ready!

Heart Eyes – 14th February
Slasher meets rom-com in this fresh twist on horror. For years, the “Heart Eyes Killer” has terrorised Valentine’s Day, targeting romantic couples in a series of gruesome murders. This year, no couple is safe. A perfect pick for those who love their romance with a side of blood-curdling suspense.

Captain America: Brave New World – 14th February
Four years after The Falcon & The Winter Soldier, Anthony Mackie officially dons the Captain America mantle in this high-stakes political thriller. The new Cap meets with newly elected U.S. President Thaddeus Ross (Harrison Ford, making his MCU debut) while also facing off against two major new villains—Sidewinder (Giancarlo Esposito) and The Leader (Tim Blake Nelson). The Monkey – 21st February
Stephen King’s chilling short story gets the big-screen treatment in this eerie horror. When twin brothers Bill and Hal discover their father’s old toy monkey in the attic, they unknowingly unleash a series of horrifying deaths. Starring Theo James, Elijah Wood, and Tatiana Maslany, and directed by Osgood Perkins (Longlegs), The Monkey promises spine-tingling terror.

The Last Showgirl – 28th February
Pamela Anderson makes her dazzling cinematic comeback in The Last Showgirl, a poignant drama set in Las Vegas. When Shelly (Anderson), a veteran showgirl, learns that her long-running revue is closing, she’s forced to re-evaluate her life, career, and relationship with her daughter (Billie Lourd). Featuring Jamie Lee Curtis and Dave Bautista, and directed by Gia Coppola, this film pays tribute to the golden age of Vegas entertainment and the women who made it shine.

Last Breath – 28th February
Based on an inspiring true story, Last Breath follows a team of deep-sea divers (Woody Harrelson and Simu Liu) battling the elements to save a trapped crewmate hundreds of feet below the ocean’s surface. A gripping survival thriller, this film is a heart-pounding testament to resilience, teamwork, and the sheer will to survive.
