From brand-new releases to nostalgic favourites, here’s what to stream this February.

New Releases

Expect plenty of laugh-out-loud moments and wedding day disasters.

Her ruse takes an unexpected turn when she meets the man of her dreams – who believes her charade is real. This quirky film is full of twists and modern relationship dilemmas.

La Dolce Villa – Netflix (13th February)

Love Again – Netflix

What if a simple text message led you to your soulmate? Intrigued by her heartfelt messages, Rob enlists the help of music icon Celine Dion to track Mira down and win her heart. With a moving storyline and a soundtrack featuring Dion’s iconic voice, Love Again is a feel-good romance you won’t want to miss.

Timeless Classics

Bridget Jones’s Diary – Sky/Now

With the upcoming release of Bridget Jones: Mad About the Boy, there’s no better time to revisit the original. Based on Helen Fielding’s bestselling novel (which itself draws inspiration from Pride and Prejudice), this beloved rom-com follows the life of Bridget Jones (Renée Zellweger)—a relatable, slightly chaotic 32-year-old navigating love, work, and plenty of mishaps. With Mark Darcy (Colin Firth) and Daniel Cleaver (Hugh Grant) vying for her affections, it’s a classic that never gets old.

Notting Hill – 1999

The ’90s were a golden age for romantic comedies, and Notting Hill remains one of the best. Julia Roberts stars as Hollywood superstar Anna Scott, who unexpectedly falls for a humble London bookstore owner, William Thacker (Hugh Grant). As the two navigate the challenges of fame and love, this charming story delivers all the swoon-worthy moments you could want.

The Apartment – 1960

A timeless romantic comedy with sharp wit and heartfelt moments, The Apartment follows Bud Baxter (Jack Lemmon), a Manhattan insurance clerk who lends out his apartment to company executives for their extramarital affairs. But when he falls for elevator operator Fran Kubelik (Shirley MacLaine), things get complicated. With a mix of romance and social satire, Billy Wilder’s classic remains a must-watch.

Brief Encounter – Tyneside Cinema (14th–17th February)

Celebrating its 80th anniversary, Brief Encounter is one of the most poignant romance films of all time. Directed by David Lean, this wartime classic tells the story of Laura Jesson (Celia Johnson) and Dr. Alex Harvey (Trevor Howard), two married strangers who meet by chance at a railway station. As their friendship turns into an intense but fleeting love affair, their lives are changed forever. For those who love old-school romance and heart-wrenching storytelling, this is one to catch on the big screen.

Whether you’re in the mood for a fresh rom-com or a heartwarming classic, there’s plenty to stream this February.

So, grab your favourite snacks, get cosy, and let love (or at least great storytelling) take centre stage.
