AARDMAN PRESENTS LLOYD OF THE FLIES WETLAND BUG HUNT
You’ve heard of going on a bear hunt, but how about a bug hunt? This spring, WWT Washington is partnering with British animation studio, Aardman and the Royal Entomological Society, to bring families on an epic minibeast wetlands adventure unlike any they’ve seen before, with much-loved characters from Lloyd of the Flies.
Dive deep into the world of wetland insects and meet Lloyd’s quirky sidekick, Dart the dragonfly. You’ll follow their free interactive trail, helping them track down Lloyd’s family and friends, all while discovering the fascinating world of minibeasts along the way.

BUG HUNT WITH A TWIST: AUGMENTED REALITY FUN
Here’s where things get really cool – get ready to shrink down to insect size with the Lloyd of the Flies AR Bug Hunt app. Produced by Aardman, this augmented reality experience lets you see the world through the eyes of a bug.
Explore the wetland habitats and meet the stars of the show. With the Royal Entomological Society’s support and WWT’s commitment to protecting wetland wildlife, your visit to Washington Wetland Centre helps to preserve these magical ecosystems for generations to come.
