Spring has sprung, and you know what that means – new arrivals on the farm. From pygmy goat experiences to lamb bottle feeding, the North East isn’t short of places to give you the perfect spring day out.

Goat Experience @ West Barn Pygmy Goats

Located in Morpeth, West Barn Pygmy Goats is run by animal enthusiasts Brian and Sam, who are goat obsessed. It currently has the largest herd in Northumberland, and you can meet all the goats on their personal Goat Experiences. At one of their experience sessions, you’ll be able to pet, feed, cuddle and pamper around 50 adorable Pygmy goats. And with 6 people maximum allowed per booking, this gives you plenty of space to get to know the goats!

Located just outside Morpeth, this much-loved Northumberland attraction comes alive in the spring with the chaos of its new arrivals, including a whole host of fluffy animals to meet. Their lamb feeding experience is the perfect activity for everyone in the family to get hands-on, perfect for a day out in the spring.

At Tweddle Farm, their ‘Baby Barn’ gives you the chance to meet some of their newest additions, always filled with different animals as they are being born over the farming period! From little piglets to fluffy lambs, the animals in this spot are rotated regularly, giving you that element of surprise before your visit. You can get stuck in and enjoy petting and feeding these friendly animals, making it an ideal activity for families and children!

This Donkey Rescue centre in Durham prides itself on providing visitors with the opportunity to interact closely with rescued donkeys, promoting peace and tranquility for both the animals and participants. This one-and-a-half-hour event gives you the chance to walk around the private land accompanied by one of their donkeys, with time to groom, hug and simply enjoy the company and personality of “your” donkey after your stroll.
