Ballerina – out 6th June

This action thriller is the fifth entry in the John Wick franchise, taking place during the events of John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum. The film follows Eve Macarro (Ana de Armas), who begins her training in the assassin traditions of the Ruska Roma and sets out to exact revenge for her father’s death. The cast includes Anjelica Huston, Gabriel Byrne, Norman Reedus, and series stalwarts Ian McShane, the late Lance Reddick, and John Wick himself, Keanu Reeves.

How to Train Your Dragon – out 13th June

This movie marks DreamWorks’ first attempt to remake one of its most iconic animated films. On the rugged Isle of Berk, where Vikings and dragons have been bitter enemies for generations, Hiccup (Mason Thames, The Black Phone) stands apart. The inventive yet overlooked son of Chief Stoick the Vast (Gerard Butler), Hiccup defies tradition when he befriends Toothless, a feared Night Fury dragon. 

Their unlikely bond reveals the true nature of dragons, challenging the foundations of Viking society. With the fierce Astrid (Nico Parker) and blacksmith Gobber (Nick Frost) by his side, Hiccup must confront a world torn by fear and misunderstanding. When an ancient threat emerges, his friendship with Toothless becomes the key to building a new future.

The Ballad of Wallis Island – out 13th June

The Ballad of Wallis Island follows Charles (Tim Key), an eccentric lottery winner who lives alone on a remote island and dreams of reuniting his favourite musicians, Mortimer-McGwyer (Carey Mulligan and Tom Basden). His fantasy becomes reality when the bandmates — and former lovers — accept his invitation to perform a show at his home. But as the gig draws closer, old tensions resurface, and Charles must desperately try to salvage his dream night.

28 Years Later – out 19th June

Academy Award-winning director Danny Boyle and writer Alex Garland reunite for a terrifying new story set in the world of 28 Days Later – with locations across Northumberland the North East providing the eerie backdrop.

Nearly three decades after the rage virus first escaped a biological weapons lab, survivors live in a ruthlessly enforced quarantine. One such group inhabits a small island connected to the mainland by a single, heavily guarded causeway. When one member ventures into the infected mainland, he uncovers chilling secrets, mutated horrors, and the evolution of not just the virus — but humanity. The film stars Jack O’Connell, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Jodie Comer, and Ralph Fiennes.

Elio – out 20th June

The latest adventure from Pixar Animation Studios follows Elio, a space-obsessed boy with a vivid imagination who accidentally becomes Earth’s intergalactic ambassador. Beamed up by aliens, Elio must form new bonds with eccentric lifeforms, navigate an interplanetary crisis, and discover who — and where — he’s truly meant to be. The voice cast includes Yonas Kibreab, Zoe Saldaña, and Shirley Henderson.

F1: The Movie – out 27th June

Directed by Joseph Kosinski (Top Gun: Maverick), this high-octane drama follows Sonny Hayes (Brad Pitt), a former F1 prodigy dubbed “the greatest that never was.” After a near-fatal accident derailed his career in the ’90s, Sonny now races solo — until his old teammate Ruben Cervantes (Javier Bardem), owner of a struggling Formula One team, convinces him to return for one final season.

Racing alongside hotshot rookie Joshua Pearce (Damson Idris), Sonny must confront his past and discover that in F1, your teammate is often your fiercest rival — and the road to redemption can’t be travelled alone.

M3GAN 2.0 – out 27th June

The murderous doll who captivated pop culture in 2023 is back — and she’s not alone. Two years after M3GAN’s rampage, her creator, Gemma (Allison Williams), is forced to resurrect her infamous AI in order to take down Amelia, a military-grade weapon built using stolen M3GAN technology. With the future of humanity on the line, Gemma upgrades M3GAN (Amie Donald), making her faster, stronger, and more dangerous than ever before.
