Looking for the spot to soak up the sunshine in Newcastle? We bring you The Factory Kitchen’s rooftop terrace at The Biscuit Factory.

Inside the city’s beloved independent art gallery is one of Newcastle’s best-kept secrets. This dreamy rooftop terrace has officially reopened for the sunny season, and trust us, you’ll want to head straight there.

Tucked away above the creative buzz of Ouseburn, it’s the perfect place to sip, snack and chill with panoramic views and lush greenery all around.

Whether you’re after a long, lazy brunch, a quick caffeine fix or a cheeky cocktail (or two), The Factory Kitchen has you covered. From coffee and cake to vibrant seasonal dishes and summer sips, it’s one of our go-to cafés in Newcastle for good vibes and even better food.

And the setting? Think marble-topped tables, hanging baskets and a laid-back atmosphere that feels like a tranquil escape, without having to leave the Toon.

Brunch, art, cocktails and sunshine? We’ll see you on the roof.

THE FACTORY KITCHEN ROOF TERRACE REOPENS – YOUR NEW FAVOURITE ALFRESCO NEWCASTLE BRUNCH SPOT

We’re so excited that the rooftop terrace at The Factory Kitchen is now open.  Whether you’re craving a morning coffee, a delicious all-day brunch, a sweet treat or a cheeky cocktail, there’s no better place to soak up the spring and summer vibes than this hidden gem overlooking the Ouseburn Valley.

Now open seven days a week (weather permitting), the terrace invites you to dine amongst lush greenery, flower baskets and panoramic city views. It’s the perfect alfresco escape – ideal for catching up with friends, hosting informal meetings or simply treating yourself to a midweek reset. You can even work from here, too – you can literally spend all day here.

The menu, curated by Head Chef Michael Waugh, brings bold seasonal flavours inspired by Europe’s café culture – featuring locally sourced produce, artisan breads from Big River Bakery and standout dishes for every appetite, including vegan and vegetarian options.

Thirsty? Sip on locally roasted coffee, fresh juices or explore their new cocktail menu, with two for £14 specials including a rhubarb and ginger fizz or classic G&T. Craft beers and wines are on offer too, because brunch should always come with a little something stronger.

Walk-ins are welcome, but bookings are encouraged for some of the best rooftop seats in the city. Trust us, The Factory Kitchen terrace is where your next Newcastle brunch needs to be.
