After gaining her MA degree in International Marketing at Newcastle University, Becky has worked in various social media and digital marketing internship roles. During this time, she really enjoyed the creative side of content creation and networking with various businesses across the North East.
Although Becky is a proud Scot, she has lived in Newcastle for nearly 6 years now and hasn’t left since she first came to the city for University. She now views Newcastle as a home away from home and loves how friendly and outgoing the North East locals are.
Becky’s interests have always been in fashion and beauty as she always gravitated towards modules in her degree that analysed the marketing of fashion and beauty brands.
Since studying English Literature and learning about the inequalities women have been subjected to throughout history, Becky has always had a passion for shouting about women’s rights. When she seen the Digital Executive role advertised at High Life North, she just had to apply as she knew how much she would love being part of a community of women supporting other women. In a world where a lot of the tabloid media often brings women down and competes them against one another, Becky thrives off being a part of a community that celebrates and lifts women up.
In her spare time, Becky loves prioritising her health and wellbeing, keeping fit and challenging herself by going to the gym, attending fitness classes, or exploring the outdoors. She also loves socialising with friends and trying out new places around Newcastle to eat some yummy food and drink cocktails.
