Katie’s Design House
Katie’s Design House was founded by illustrator and print designer Katie Dyer. The artist’s work is vintage inspired with a modern, colourful twist and her illustrations are often achieved in a variety of media from various inks, paints and pastels. All designs are very much inspired by the natural world, with lots of floral, foliage and fruity elements.
Katie uses her paintings to create designs for a variety of textile and paper products and also shares her love for painting in group workshops. The workshops are hosted both online and in person with the aim to show others the joy and relaxation that can come from putting paintbrush to paper.
Expect to see hand painted illustrations of your favourite regional spots, vibrant floral gift wrap, notebooks, greeting cards and fine art interior prints. Some of Katie’s prints can also be personalised to add that extra special touch.Shop Now

Or if you’re planning to pop the question this Christmas, why not use a handmade ring box using wood dating back to the 1960s and sourced in Gosforth.
All items are made by hand and can often be customised to suit your home or style. Handmade Tyneside creations are made to order, are in high demand, and are often sold out. Visit the website to send a message about availability or to make an order.

Toasty Candles is a small independent home fragrance brand started in Gosforth, Newcastle throughout the national lockdowns, where we started experimenting making scented candles. After trialling various plant-based waxes, we eventually settled on an eco and vegan-friendly natural rapeseed wax which was perfect for making scented candles whilst having the smallest possible impact on the environment.
The rapeseed wax we use for our candles is sourced from rapeseed wax we use for our candles is sourced from rapeseed grown in both the UK and mainland Europe, meaning it doesn’t have to travel half the globe like most soy does – which is predominantly grown on the other side of the globe, with around 80% of the world’s soy being produced in the USA, Brazil and Argentina.
Our reed diffusers are made using a vegan solvent produced from renewable plant-based sources of glycerine and are supplied with high-quality rattan reeds. All our products are shipped in plastic-free cardboard boxes using kraft paper tape and shredded cardboard which can be recycled or composted.
With fragrances ranging from fruity to floral to woody and everything in between, there’s plenty to choose from. Our candles make perfect stocking fillers or even as a Secret Santa gift! Our new Christmas collection features colourful patterned labels and will have your house feeling festive in no time – why not light a Gingerbread candle, sit back and relax with a cup of hot chocolate and get Toasty this Christmas?Shop Now
