This Easter, Barker and Stonehouse is throwing open the doors to its brand new, state-of-the-art lifestyle store in Gateshead.

Showcasing must-have homewares alongside desirable designer brands, the new 50,000 sq ft store doubles the size of the retailer’s existing Gateshead base and brings together the very best in sustainable design, striking architecture and inspiring interiors.

Set to become the North East’s ultimate interior destination, there’ll be seasonally styled studios packed with design inspiration, as well as the retailer’s very first lifestyle area. A space designed for use as a free co-working space with complimentary Wi-Fi, it’s perfect for those who just want somewhere relaxing to plug-in and for some work, or hold informal meetings.

Upstairs, shoppers will be able to sit back and tuck into brunch, lunch or even an early dinner in the roof terrace bistro run by North East restaurateur Daryl Chadwick. Bringing a taste of the Med to Gateshead, Daryl is set to recreate the popular menus already on offer at Chadwick & Co, his in-store bistro at the retailer’s Teesside Park store.
