Confluence – National Glass Centre

This exhibition explores the relationship between the mediums of ceramics and glass, looking at their commonalities and differences through a range of art pieces.

Each piece also focuses on a confluence – a point at which the two materials meet – which looks different for each artist.

The art on display is a culmination of a ten-day residency, in which artists worked with experts based at the National Glass Centre and the University of Sunderland to develop their ideas and bring them to life through design and manufacture.
