Steve Lyon-Bowes: Lockdown Portraits – Newcastle Arts Centre

Admire this exhibition of works by portrait painter Steve Lyon-Bowes, who is also a tutor on the popular short courses at Newcastle Arts Centre.

These carefully crafted paintings were created in response to the Covid-19 lockdowns. They capture the different experiences that people had during this period.

Based on real-life testimonials, the portraits show the journey from wanting to be outside to emerging from lockdown, and the different feelings brought on by this transition.
