Still A Mam – West End Women & Girls Centre
June 23, 11:30 am - 2:30 pm
Fulfilling Lives and Reform present the findings from their research into the experience of child removal as told by the mothers. They will share their stories and look at what changes needs to be made to make the system fairer and support the women and children better.
As well as hearing the stories of the women who took part in the research, there will be a screening of ‘Lasagna’ by Open Clasp Theatre. Written by Catrina McHugh MBE and directed by Laura Lindow, in co-creation with the women from Pause, North East. Lasagna shines a spotlight on the gap in services for women who have had multiple children removed, and it celebrates generosity, community and humanity.
