End/Future Part 1: Tipping Point, Life in a Time of Crisis – Tyneside Cinema

Tyneside Cinema is launching a new annual programme called End/Future, which explores the future of civilization through film, discussion and technology. There are three sections to the programme, each one featuring screenings, discussions, and live events across three long weekends.

Part 1 of the programme is held across the 9th-12th March and looks at the impact of climate change in the North East, the looming spectre of climate collapse, the impact of technology on our lives, climate anxiety and more.

We have one film during the part 1 weekend we’d appreciate any promotion for:

Climate Change & The North East – Finite: the Climate of Change + panel discussion

A grassroots rallying cry demanding a better future for the planet, Finite: The Climate of Change charts a growing alliance between the proactive climate-conscious communities of the North East and activists in Germany.

This screening will be followed by a panel discussion with director Rich Felgate, Liam Carr (Local Campaigner & Ecologist), Alex De Koning (Just Stop Oil), and Jac Scollen (Campaign to Protect Pont Valley, Extinction Rebellion North East).

Screening on the 10th March at 19:00.
