Newcastle Puppetry Festival – Newcastle City Centre

Two strange puppets - one shaped like a robotic bug, the other some kind of lion bear - are positioned on a dark stage. They are perched on a piece of brown fabric above a blue surface, making it look like they are floating on a raft at sea.

Newcastle Puppetry Festival is back for another year of enchanting activities.

There’s an exciting programme to explore, including puppet shows, ‘Meet the Puppeteer’ sessions, animated film showings, puppet-making courses and workshops, and much more.

Don’t miss the iconic Beasts on the Street parade, where intricate puppets will be paraded along Northumberland Street to mark the start of the festival!
