Othello – Gosforth Civic Theatre

After their popular production of A Doll’s House in 2022, Elysium Theatre Company are returning to Gosforth Civic Theatre with Otello.

The cast will be bringing the well-known Shakespeare tragedy to life on stage, weaving an age-old tale of love and jealousy.

Othello is the best general of The Duke of Venice and devoted husband to the beautiful Desdemona. After Othello is sent to defend Cyprus, his malevolent officer Lago begins to sew seeds of jealousy in his mind, threatening to tear apart the couple’s love for each other.
